The House is now in recess.  I sure the heck they come up with a plan and a new Speaker, ASAP.  This is where things could turn very sour for conservatives.

All they have to do is ask who in leadership is trustworthy.

"Tumpy"'s running up deficits continues to be the #1 reason he provides for withholding his vote.

And frankly, I think the cognitive dissonance around here when it comes to reining in spending without negative ramifications at the ballot box just 24 months after beginning your noble 'crusade' shows how unrealistic and unworkable it is .... at this point in time.

Today I voted for the Motion to Vacate and remove the Speaker.

This isn’t about left vs right.

This isn’t about ideology.

This is about trust and keeping your word.

This is about making Congress do it’s job.

She's back on my donate list. She has it right, it's all about keeping your word.

I wish I knew who all the others were who voted out McCarthy.

I disagree.  The true dysfunction and disservice to this country are the RINO's who keep siding with the liberals and making closed doors deals. While this upset could make matters worse, it IMHO was a warning shot to the RINO's in Congress. It put the McCarthys and McConnells on notice.

I also believe Gaetz needs to be given a pat on the back for having the courage to go up against RINO McCarthy.  It was a bold move, a gamble with his political career which is probably on the line, but he had the guts to do it.  Bravo!

Nope. He's  MAGA, so he's yours... Among Conservatives, he's not my choice... but I can say he's got balls enough to call the damn RINOs on the carpet.

Nothing *AT ALL* is going to change until you remove the Moderates from the levers of power... And this is damn well an attempt to do that.

They tried to work with the hardliners, but they refused to consider even a 30 days CR plus spending cuts.  So there was no option left to avoid a shutdown but to pass the Senate bill and its 45 day CR.  And given the number of Republican members who were not going to vote for a long-term shutdown when there wasn't even a GOP alternative, that was inevitable.

And if you think removing McCarthy is going to make it less likely that there will full CR after that 45 days expires...guess again.  The hardliners fired the only bullet in their gun, and have now made themselves irrelevant.

Yup.  Doesn't need to be any secret deal because the new Speaker isn't bound by promises McCarthy made.  They'll just ignore the hardliners because...why not?  You can't work with them anyway.
