Sen. Mitch McConnell appears to freeze again at a Kentucky event.  His brain took a 30 second time-out.  The boy ain't well.  Time to go Touché Turtle.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to freeze again Wednesday, this time during a gaggle with reporters in Covington, Kentucky, stopping for more than 30 seconds after he was asked if he would run for re-election.

The Kentucky Republican froze in July at a news conference on Capitol Hill, going silent for 19 seconds before being escorted away from the cameras. McConnell, 81, returned shortly afterward and continued his news conference, telling reporters, “I’m fine.”

When it became apparent that McConnell had frozen again on Wednesday, an aide came up to him and asked, “Did you hear the question, senator?” McConnell continued to be unresponsive.

Once McConnell re-engaged, he responded briefly to another question about Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, a Republican; his aide needed to repeat the question to him. McConnell was then asked about former President Donald Trump, another question that had to be repeated. McConnell brushed off the question because he does not usually engage in Trump-related topics.

Just did the story on this for WHAS.

@mystery-ak I agree with you.  My father-in-law has had 6 strokes and he will freeze or just drift of like that when he tries to talk sometimes.

At what point do the staffers do what's right and tell him...for his health...that it's time to step down?

The odd thing with these politicians is that they hang on to power and wealth until it kills them.
They want to die at their desk, with a rigor mortis death grip on their mouse and their cell phone.
And then when it happens, in a flash, they look back on it all and wonder ... What the hell was I thinking?
I have enough money to go anywhere and to do anything, and instead of all that I went to 'work' until I was 95. Why?
What for? What did it do for me or my family? Nothing ...
All these super-old cooters are being used and manipulated by people half their age.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Biden, Feinstein, and McConnell should NOT be in office. It's time for them to step down and walk away and live out their final days.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

It's not just age. I know people in their 90s who are mentally sharp and physically capable. But dementia can affect people much younger than that. Clearly, Biden, Feinstein and, now, McConnell are in that category.

He's fallen twice in the last year that we know of.  That could be related to a stroke or mini stroke as well.

I was a stupid 12 year old child. Had an ant-farm. Loved it.
One day I decided to treat my ants. Put raw sugar into the habitat.
All the ants died. They gorged on the sugar until they died.
This is how I see politicians. They gorge on fat until they die.

He's fallen twice in the last year that we know of.  That could be related to a stroke or mini stroke as well.

If he's fallen, the falls themselves could also have caused damage to the brain.  That happened to an elderly member of my family - she kept insisting that she could get around without assistance, despite being 89, and having really low blood pressure.  She fell several times, and each time did damage to her brain because the meninges in the skull are no longer able to properly cushion the brain at that age.

Big competition between him and Feinstein in the senate as to who can decompose the fastest. Both of them make Biden look downright cogent.

On the news today a doctor was saying that he had spoken to quite a few other doctors and that the falling, the freezing up are signs of late parkinsons.  He said if it was something other like a mini stroke, they would rush him to the hospital for mri's but they don't.  He said it appears the people around him know this is "normal" for what he has.

Normal look moving into a dazed look morphing into a look of helplessness?  Wouldn't be surprised if he is suffering Ischemic Strokes.

In any case, it's time for the turtle to retire.

A guy I worked with contracted parkinsons and would have a blind stare at times.  He got to the point where he had a very difficult time processing thoughts.

Thought that too, except the classical symptoms of Parkinsons has some hand shaking.

Just did the story on this for WHAS.

@mystery-ak I agree with you.  My father-in-law has had 6 strokes and he will freeze or just drift of like that when he tries to talk sometimes.

At what point do the staffers do what's right and tell him...for his health...that it's time to step down?
And endanger their personal Senate Staffer gravy train?

When Quentin Burdick was Senator from ND, I spoke with a lady who had tried to carry on a conversation with him on the plane. He was, in her opinion, non compos mentis. That did not stop him from running for reelection, and it was the staffers who propped him up for the few appearances, the campaign materials were stock photos and past video clips, edited to give the appearance of a fully mentally competent man. He died in office.

So, never. Not until he hits room temperature.
