Washington D.C. to Legalize Public Urination
It'll also cut "the maximum penalties for offenses such as burglaries, carjackings and robberies."

When your whole city’s a toilet, why not embrace it?

    The D.C. Council is expected to take the first of two votes Tuesday on a massive rewrite of its criminal code. If passed, the bill would eliminate most mandatory minimum sentences, allow for jury trials in almost all misdemeanor cases and reduce the maximum penalties for offenses such as burglaries, carjackings and robberies.

Assume that there’ll be a lot more burglaries, carjackings and robberies.

Not to mention public urination.

Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Robert Contee III are pushing back hard on parts of the plan they don’t agree with, and say the council is rushing to beat an arbitrary deadline.

    At a news conference Tuesday, the mayor said the concern is over the decriminalization of certain public nuisances, such as urinating in public or noise violations.

Ah the smell of urine on those hot sunny, humid days during the summer..that will being the tourist to DC!

Considering the Potomac is a navigable waterway, the inevitable release of untreated effluent into the Potomac via the storm sewers is a violation of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1898.

The older I get the more "gotta go" hits, but part of the stigma of having the law was at least people would do emergencies discretely, without the law, we will have folks peeing at you and laughing. I can only imagine what the gay parades will turn into.

I just became aware of a Facebook group, Seattle Looks Like Sh*t, which reports on the decline of a once-nice city. Public urination and defecation are among the activities described.
