Democrats Pass $1.5 Trillion Omnibus Spending Bill After Democrat Disarray

Sean Moran9 Mar 2022

House Democrats passed a $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill after hours of delay and Democrat confusion.

House Democrats passed the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill, which was separated into two votes. The first half, focusing on security funding, passed with 361 votes for and 69 votes against the provision. The second half, featuring the remainder of the spending, passed with 260 votes for and 171 against the measure.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held the vote on the spending bill after hours of delay and confusion.

The bill originally had $15 billion in coronavirus aid; however, Pelosi moved to strip the coronavirus aid after facing steep opposition from her own caucus. Democrats had agreed to include offsets in the bill, but many Democrats across the spectrum raised concerns about the bill removing state aid to offset the cost of the $15 billion in coronavirus aid.

In a statement about the move, Pelosi blamed Republicans, even though it was Democrats that had raised issues with the bill.

“Because of Republican insistence — and the resistance by a number of our Members to making those offsets — we will go back to the Rules Committee to remove COVID funding to meet the needs of America’s families,” she wrote in a letter to House Democrats earlier on Wednesday.

The Democrat division on the coronavirus offsets occurred when Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) offered a motion to adjourn, which continued for four hours as Democrats could not figure out how to address the issue. Democrat leadership had to move the bill back to the Rules Committee to address Democrats’ concerns.

excerpt:

Quote
A Republican Study Committee (RSC) messaging document obtained by Breitbart News found that the bill has many issues, including:

The bill would spend over $100 billion on Green New Deal initiatives, and advance “racial justice” through Department of Agriculture programs.
The bill also contains $100 million for environmental justice activities at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and $75 million for low or zero-emission vehicles
$26 billion in food stamp funding
This is the first spending bill to include earmarks.
No protections from Chinese espionage in grants to the National Science Foundation
Increases National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding by 10 percent
Provides $66 million for the “Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH), an increase of $8 million from last year

Every republicant should have been against all of this. They are just a bunch of RINO traitors. We already know the DCP are all traitors including the knew darling of the republicants Tulsi Gabbard.

Democrats Republicans help Pass $1.5 Trillion Omnibus Spending Bill After Democrat Disarray

There, fixed it.  Republicans once again snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.  I see no reason to support them in November.  @roamer_1 is right.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

Republicans have the power to stop all of this.  Yet they don't.  So what good are they?

With voters turning nearly the entire government over to the democrats, and then blaming the remnants of the Republicans for not stopping the democrats they put in dominance to rule like tyrants.  I find blaming the Republicans for what Democrats do to be very NeverTrumper assertive.  Give Democrats a pass, and blame Republicans for what democrats do?

With Inflation At Its Highest In Decades, Congress Works To Shovel Trillions More Out The Door In A Craptastic ‘Omnibus’
By: Christopher Jacobs
March 10, 2022

Congress should use the omnibus to vacuum up its unnecessary spending, to control both our national debt and runaway inflation. Yeah, right.

News flash from Washington: Congress is rushing to pass a bill it hasn’t read, full of earmarks and special favors for campaign donors. Where have we heard that before?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uC4bXmcUvw&ab_channel=HouseRepublicans

The House introduced the omnibus bill after midnight Tuesday, and it’s a whopping 2,741 pages. A combination of poor planning, Democratic delusions, and an upcoming vacation (seriously!) have Congress rushing to ram through a bill totaling thousands of pages, and trillions of dollars, in a matter of hours. Again.
Stop Overspending

Based on leaked press reports, the legislation has some prominent provisions. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, said the bill would include about $14 billion in humanitarian and military assistance for Ukraine. Another $15 billion would go towards purchasing additional Covid tests and treatments, in the hopes of staving off any new variants of the disease that may emerge in the coming months. Previous rounds of Covid spending and equipment still haven’t been used.

Reports also note the bill is a veritable spending spree of pork for special interests, with more than 4,000 earmarks. If Democrats in Congress and the Biden administration think we should add this new spending to our $30 trillion (and rising) national debt, they’re not trying hard enough to find economies.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the budget-busting bill Democrats rammed through last March in the name of “Covid relief” would spend out $528.5 billion in the fiscal year ending this September 30, and another $114.3 billion in the fiscal year starting October 1. That’s a total of $642.8 billion in the next two years alone that Congress could re-purpose—much of it in the form of bailout funds to states and localities (read: government employee unions) that are already flush with cash.

Congress should use the omnibus to vacuum up some of this unnecessary spending, to control both our national debt and runaway inflation. But instead, lawmakers will likely engage in the time-honored Washington tradition of log-rolling, whereby Republicans agree to vote for Democrats’ wasteful spending priorities in exchange for Democrats voting for Republican initiatives.

Swing and a miss.

Republicans owned all three branches JUST THE SAME WAY not very long ago and did nothing. NOTHING.

That is what has happened over and over - That is your insanity. Every time the Republicans get power, they do nothing. And when they don't have power they can do nothing. Doesn't matter a whit. Democrats keep moving forward whether or not they are in power. And Republicans help them do it.

Continuing to rely upon pulling the lever for the big Rhinestone R is 'doing the same thing over and over expecting different results'. The result has not changed at all in my entire lifetime except for Reagan and the 94 congress. = BOTH times Conservatives (not mere Republicans) were at the helm. In fifty years Republicans have lost ground all the way along on every front. Not a single win. Not one. They stop nothing. They win nothing. ever.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Throw ALL the bastards out. Demand results from whoever get in, at the very real threat of getting the boot.
Folks just naturally have to get serious and start actually enforcing their votes.

Or it will not change. Democrats move forward at every stroke, and Republicans chase after squirrels.

"Throw all the bastards out, first the Republicans and then guess what clueless fools.  The Commie + democrats will rule like extensions of Putins government, America will be truly dead.  Many fool nations have let the Communists do just this, much to their oppressed and enslaved sorrows since. What you threw away must be bought back in blood, rivers of blood.  The price fools must pay for the luxuries of being fools.

All that we now endure and lose is because of the last Presidential election, and the fools/damn fools want to ignore that and demand more of the same.  How do democrats turn Christians, gun owners, capitalist, constitutional lovers into morons that can't think even a grade school level is a mystery to me.  Again we see what happens because they played Lewinsky fools for democrats, and again they cry they are victims of what they colluded with the wicked democrats to do.

This right here is why Republicans will not learn and will not win.

Liberalism is winning.
Liberalism does not win because it is right. It is not right.
It wins because it has no opposition.

Worry about your own house.

WHAT WE ENDURE NOW IS BECAUSE OF THE THINKING OF NEVERTRUMPERS GETTING THEIR WAY LAST ELECTION.
Now we are advocated to get rid of Republicans over 19 people and give the 100% lockstepping democrats all the power.
Seeing the results of that now,we need more of the same?
Clearly emptying the insane asylums has indeed affected our civilization to an unbelievable extent!
Stupid should NEVER get to this extent!

Here's a clue: The democrats already have all the power.
They have successfully won and moved forward ALL of their issues across the last 50 years.

Republicans have subsequently squandered their power across those same fifty years, LOSING ground on every front in the last 50 years.

And you cheer it on.
Standing on NOTHING.

Let's go back to 2017, shall we?  Republicans controlled the White House.  Republicans controlled the Senate.  Republicans controlled the House.  Did we get funding for the border wall?  No.  Did we get rid of Obamacare?  No.  Did we get spending cuts?  No.  Did we end federal funding of abortion?  No.

Face it.  The Republican Party is not a Conservative Party.  And Trump wasn't a Conservative President.

As i recall, Trump wasthe only one to even attempt to build the southern wall, and like many good things Trump was doing for us, the NeverTrumper democrats slammed the doors on such things and sabotaged the Trump Presidency for more than four years.
No difference?

Your recollection is stone dead wrong.

Would I rather Democrats spend us into annihilation or Republicans spend us into annihilation?

The answer is obvious. Because only one of those two is supposed to fight for fiscal conservatism. If Republicans are spending us into annihilation,  believe me, the democrats will let them.

In fact, the opposite is true too - Which is why I am so adamantly against big government spending on the right.
If the Right will not fight for fiscal conservatism, then firstly, it is NOT the RIGHT. And finally - there is no one else to guard the principle. And if the 'Right' has once again refused its charter, then I will have naught to do with it, and will rightly find it the same scourge as the liberals - because it is.

In 2017 it was just reverse of the situation now. The republicants were in charge but still needed DCP help to pass anything and the DCP refused. The difference now is the republicants ARE giving the DCP the help they need to pass whatever they want. The RINOs should be put up against a wall a shot for the traitors they are but that can't be done. They ALL need to be primaried and removed from office.
