NEW YORK CITY- One thing we’ve noticed here at Law Enforcement Today is that many of the loudest voices calling for the defunding of police make sure they themselves enjoy safety and security. Such is the case of one defund the police zealot, New York gubernatorial hopeful Jumaane Williams.

According to the New York Post, Williams—one of the loudest loudmouths last year to defund the NYPD—himself enjoys the benefit of his own personal NYPD security detail while he lives in what amounts to a gated community at the Fort Hamilton US Army Garrison in Brooklyn, New York. Oh, he’s also called for slashing the Defense Department’s budget. You’ve gotta love hypocrites.

In another piece of delicious irony, Williams—a self-proclaimed “racial justice advocate—lives just off General Lee Avenue, named after Confederate general Robert. E. Lee.

Williams was elected as New York City’s public advocate in 2019 after he served on the New York City Council, Fox News reports. He has described himself as a Democratic socialist and is running as governor of New York under a platform of bringing “transformational change to Albany,” according to his campaign website.  ...
