Senate Unanimously Passes Bill To Make Juneteenth A Federal Holiday

The United States Senate unanimously passed a bill on Tuesday that would make June 19, known as “Juneteenth,” a federal holiday.

The act is called the “Juneteenth National Independence Day Act” and would designate the day as a “legal public holiday.” It will go to the House of Representatives and if it passes there, it will head to President Joe Biden’s desk for him to sign or veto.

The federal holiday would recognize June 19, 1865, observing what is traditionally celebrated as African American Emancipation Day. According to juneteenth.com, Juneteenth is “the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.” It was the day that Major General Gordon Granger led Union troops to Galveston, Texas, and told the people there that the Civil War was over and all slaves were free. The news came two and a half years after President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on the first day of January 1863.

There have been many efforts to explain why there was such a delay in the news being received in Texas.

This is what happens when schools don't properly teach history. That date has nothing to do with emancipation, no matter how it's

Almost the entire Puerto Rico is on welfare. Why? Perhaps because they have 23 or 24 holidays!!!!!!!!! No one wants to invest there in part because of the loss of productivity with so many days off. Same is true of Russia. They take off the first ten days of January.

I think we need legislation that says you want to create a holiday, you have to eliminate a holiday. Why do we celebrate Columbus Day? Well, not all of us do, but banks and government employees get that day off. All nonsense!!! Do we need a flag day when we have the 4th of July? Really?

Enough with the holidays already. We just do not need another holiday!!!!!!!

Moving forward, create a new holiday, eliminate one. Do we really need to celebrate Columbus Day?

EFFING YES! Columbus' discovery made it possible to create the United States, and with it the civilized world of today. No America, no modern civilization.

Want to make Fake Negro Holiday #2 a federal holiday, erase MLK Day, a perfectly pointless holiday that's only two weeks after the two biggest holidays on the calendar, Christmas and New Years.

The REAL holiday for to celebrate the slave's emancipation is...Emancipation Day, January 1, 1863.

Oh, wait. There's already a holiday on that day.

I guess the Knee Grows will just have to be satisfied with being regular Americans since not one of them survived oppression by the Democrats in 1863. And who was it who made the final emancipation possible? Those White People Yankees and their damned Privileges.
