Georgia lieutenant governor says Trump claims will hurt GOP candidates in runoff
By Justine Coleman - 12/06/20 10:08 AM EST

Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) said Sunday that he is worried President Trump’s continued claims to have won an election he lost will hurt the state’s Senate GOP candidates in their Jan. 5 runoff by making GOP voters less likely to turn up at the polls

Duncan told CNN’s “State of the Union” that it was “encouraging to listen to the president champion the conservative strategies” of the senators at his Georgia rally. But the lieutenant governor said Trump’s messaging about the election being “rigged” was “concerning to me.”

“I worry that this continues you know fanning of the flames around misinformation puts us in a negative position with regards to the Jan. 5 runoff,” he said. “The mountains of misinformation are not helping the process – they’re only hurting it.”

“I worry that we’re handing off a playbook to the Democrats for Jan. 5, and certainly I can't think of a worse playbook to hand off over the last you know four to five weeks,” he continued.

This is rich.  The victim of massive, coordinated voter and election fraud will be blamed for the upcoming coordinated voter and election fraud in Georgia.  I hate these people.

Come on, Mr. President, officially start the new party.  We'll move with you.

This spike is mathematically impossible without cheating, and it coincidently falls within the same timeline that the new ballots were captured.

You idiot.  The failure to enforce election laws is what is hurting GOP candidates.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

These Georgia republicans sure are anxious to sweep all of this under the rug, aren't they.

@EmeraldRobinson

It’s now obvious: there was widespread election fraud.

It’s now obvious: the DOJ/FBI have disappeared. They’re complicit in it.

It’s now obvious: most of the GOP have disappeared. They’re complicit in it.

The problem for the GOP: their own voters understand what’s going on.

They are anxious to return Georgia to another 136 consecutive years of Democrat rule.

You're down that way, right?
How do things look "on the ground"?

My guess is that the democrat-communists (soon to be known as "the communist-democrats") are very close to achieving the goal you stated above.

On the ground, you have a lot of really good people who understand the stakes and who are giving their time and voices to fight this injustice.  But then you also have a lot of Republicans standing in the way.

There is zero enthusiasm for Ossoff and Warnock just as there was zero enthusiasm for Biden.  But Democrats have proven that they don't need voters to win.  And Republicans naively think that they will win if they do have voters.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
Trump will not harm these candidates.  Most Republicans in Georgia are angry, angry at their worthless POS Governor and Sec of State.  Gov Kemp will be primaried, that is for sure!  I expect Doug Collins to run against him.  No way the people of Georgia will support Kemp.

I can only speak for me and my wife.  We are chomping at the bit to vote in January.  I see the Democommies winning with their cheating.  Soros is going full blown effort to transition the USA into a socialist wasteland, much like Venezuela.

With Biden as POTUS, China will emerge over the next four years as the new world leader.  And our allies, ha!  What allies?  We have never had allies really!

Traitor Joe, who is known in China as the CCP Governor of the territory known as the USA will kiss the posterior of the CCP every damn day he is in office.  He should get a rope!

Trump will not harm these candidates.

With Trump on the ballot, David Perdue received more votes than any other US Senate candidate in Georgia history.  Trump won't be on the ballot on Jan 5.  But you can bet that every single fraudulent vote cast for Biden in November will show up to vote for Ossoff and Warnock next month.

If there were a alternative presidential hopeful found anywhere, with Trump’s America First attitude and personal strength and tenacity to fight for it (and especially clean elections) to the bitter end, your slap at @Right_in_Virginia  might make sense; but there isn’t, and it doesn’t.

Trump’s in office, has proven his fealty to massive numbers of enthusiastic voters, he’s not stepping aside, and we supporters don’t want him to. That’s the bottom line.

Who is this great alternative to Trump?   You supported Kasich, well we learned all about him didn't we?

@Jazzhead

Do you think it's OK that Georgia election laws have been scuttled, that Georgia voting machines were never certified or even tested after Dominion made code changes in October, that photocopies of ballots ended up in recount totals, and that mail-in ballots were never checked for signatures?

There are possible alternatives to Trump with resumes to be a leader of conservatives. However, there are none I see that have the thick armor to survive the media and radical left attempts at personal and political destruction. And not many who want the grief that goes with the job.

So, Trump’s not a perfect man, and certainly not a groomed and polished politician, but something inside of him makes him capable of bearing up to the rigors that would crumble other men. I think I’ll keep my money on the horse with the solid track record running now.

I hope I never gave you the impression I give a damn about your respect or bright lights @Jazzhead

The GOP fights for Trump or it ends and we Trump supporters join the President's political party.   In your gut you know this as well as I do.

BTW, since you're so fond of doling out your respect as though it matters, call my "Dear Leader" Mr. President.  If you choke on these words ... well, Godspeed.

There are some candidates I would view very positively,  and you may have your own.   Right now,  I like DeSantis, Cruz, Haley and Cotton.    Kasich?  He's dead to me (although I know full well my advocacy of his candidacy five years ago will always haunt me on this board.)

But what @Right_in_Virginia  is urging is for Trump to abandon the Party, start his own,  and irrevocably split our center-right coalition.   That is madness born of bitterness at the verdict rendered,  for better or worse,  by the American people.    I have no objection to RIV washing the feet of her Hero,  but to advocate destruction for His sake is carrying sycophancy to an unhealthy extreme.
