Maryanne Trump Barry was already a judge and wanted to enter the federal judge system. Trump knew a man close to the president and spoke with him. Maryanne still had to have Senate approval so she went through that process every judge must do to become a federal judge. She has been a Republican all her adult life. The Senate approved her. Trump had nothing to do with that, he was just a business man at that point.

Mary Trump's book, "Too Much but Never Enough", follows the life of every Trump family member beginning with Trump's grandfather, Fred Trump. Trump's father, Fred, Jr., moved money to family members in a way to not pay tax on the money "gifts". Later, Trump and rest of the siblings, but not Mary, set up a dummy company, "All County Building Supply and Maintenance", so money transfers to family members were hidden.
When this became known in 2018, in order not to be in this problem that could affect her judgeship, Maryanne retired as a judge. Her retirement pay was/is $200,000 per year.
This situation is explained on pages 190-193.

I believe this book is truthful as legal documents are noted to prove what the family did with money and each other - their lives were/are about money.

The military school was a high school. After that, he needed to go to college.
The name of the person who took the test for Trump is given in the book - it was Joe Shapiro, "a smart kid with a reputation for being a good test taker, to take his SATs for him".

Maryanne did his homework as he read very little. I have read his early life and believe he has a learning disability regarding reading. I have tested 1,000s of children who had learning disabilities of numerous types. After I studied his life, it appeared to me he could not read well. I believe he had/has ADD, attention deficit disorder. This may be the reason he jumps from one subject to another, can't hold his attention long enough on one subject to understand it. Every day is new. Yesterday is gone.
