Oprah Hosts White Guilt Session: ‘Whiteness Gives You an Advantage No Matter What’

Billionaire media mogul Oprah Winfrey declared in an episode of her eponymous series, The Oprah Conversation that “whiteness” and “white privilege” afford unspecified benefits to white people in the “caste system” of America.

In an episode entitled “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man: Part 1” — featuring former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho and drawing its name from Acho’s YouTube series of the same name — Oprah Winfrey invited several white people to discuss “racism,” “white privilege,” and “whiteness.” Oprah praised her white guests for accusing themselves of being “racist.”

Oprah said:

    There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people — the caste system that’s been put in place — but they still, no matter where they are on the rung, or the ladder of success, they still have their whiteness.

    …

    [Whites have a] leg up. You still have your whiteness. That’s what the term “white privilege” is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage, no matter.

billionaire Oprah...is oppressed?  I can't even address this drivel.  I am white and at poverty level, being on S.S.  I lost what I had saved,  9/11.  What she means is.  SHE IS JEALOUS OF WHITE SKIN.   no matter how wealthy black people become....they still want to be "white".  That is why so many wealthy men, actors, who are black, marry white women.  O.J.  Sammy Davis Jr.  She can do like Michael Jackson did.  BLEACH YOUR SKIN.  Tyra Banks had a show on black women, bleaching their skin.  They even "hate' lighter skinned other blacks.  Skin obsessed.

Oprah is not a friend, relative, or neighbor so I am not biased by receiving thousands or more from her.

She could, recommend economic readings. We all know the name, and then do a spoon feeding about the major points of economics. This would help her and also her audience. This would be a major benefit for her race.

What has she ever done to help America or Americans? Pimping a race war doesn't get it.

I can say, I can recall no agreement with her. Her benevolence is fluff and marketing.

As I recall Oprah didn't personally 'give' anything, her production company got car manufacturers and others to donate these gifts and it always shocked the recipients when they found out they had to pay taxes on the gifts.

The harm the white privilege myth does is that it undermines our national unity, pitting races against one another.  I am white and have enjoyed many privileges. But none of them had anything to do with my race.
The greatest of my privileges were these: Two parents who loved me, encouraged me, and who worked hard to provide me with the things I truly needed, not wanted.  This is a black and white fact.

She gave nothing of her own!  THOSE CAR COMPANIES,  DID THE GIVING.  Anything, she 'gave' away was from those company's doing marketing and getting advertising for their products. A LEFTY, LIBERAL...would never give anything of theirs.

 Those girls in Africa, that she made a school for?  Later was checked into for sex trafficking the girls. That guy, named JOHN, who did spiritual healing, promoted by Oprah,  was into sex slave trafficking.

We "have privilege'...while they have AFFIRMATIVE ACTION,  HEAD START, CHILD CAMPS IN SUMMER TIME FOR FREE, NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND.  GIVEN PREFERENCE FOR COLLEGE ENTRY OVER ALL OTHER RACES.  Most everything given free to them.  Section 8.  17 TRILLION DOLLARS SINCE LBJ..in welfare. Scores are lowered to allow in minorities into police & fire fighters positions.  S.A.T'S...lowered for black kids.  BUT.....we are privileged. 
Yes, we are privileged to PAY..FOR ALL OF THAT.    So, what are these programs really saying?

If you are white, you are privileged.  Doesn't matter that you work long hours. You have a job and everything that comes with it because you are white.  White people keep black people down.  They don't give them  jobs.  Of course, their idea of a job is not the same as yours.  They sure as hell don't want to have to work as hard as you do for as many hours as you do.   They want the pay, but not the actual work.

And because you are white, you are automatically a racist.  Because you can't change your skin color, you will always be a racist.  Get on your knees and  beg for forgiveness.  Of course, you won't ever be forgiven no matter how much you grovel -- because you will always be white and will always be racist. 

Doesn't matter what you do -- beg for forgiveness, march with them, give money to their cause -- it won't matter because they hate you and when the opportunity arises, they will destroy your business, your home and your life and the lives of your loved ones.

And how can she get away with saying Black Americans are being kept off the "ladder of success" weeks after the deaths of two prominent Black Americans -- one a self-made businessman/politician and the other an icon freedom fighter who served in the hallowed halls of Congress for 33 years and was eulogized by a Black man who was twice elected to serve as the damn President of the United States?

What, other than the color of her skin, is Oprah so damn pissed off about?
