Biden is pretty vulnerable on his foreign policy track record -- he publicly bet his vice presidency on securing a status of forces agreement in Iraq, failed to do it, and that was huge reason for the rise of ISIS.

What should really scare the Democrats about this Republican Convention is the future.  The GOP has been transformed under Trump, and this convention has been the coming-out party for the New GOP.  It's invigorated,  the deadwood that held the GOP back is being cast aside.  I'm excited about 2024, because I think there are going to finally be several good potential candidates to choose from: Pompeo, Noem, DeSantis, Haley and Pence,  while I like some of them more than others, I think all will make for good candidates.   That's what should have the Democrats shaking in their boots!

I can't believe how much I've enjoyed watching the RNC Convention on C-Span. The pacing of the speeches, the quality of the speakers and most importantly the content of the speeches has been terrific.

I love my country. I want everyone to be able to live in peace. I want everyone to have an equal opportunity to succeed in whatever they pursue. The Pubs are making it clear they represent "fly over country" not the corporate or govt. elites.

@bilo

I agree with  every word you wrote,but have to admit I was actually surprised to enjoy watching and listening to the convention. They usually bore me to tears or make me even more cynical than I am anyway,but neither happened a single time this year.

The last time I can remember being moved at all by a political convention was when Julian Bond (I think that was his name) gave a speech at a Dim convention in Atlanta in the 60's,talking all about peace,brotherhood,equality,etc,etc,etc. I was actually moved to tears by that speech.

I still didn't vote,though. I was a soldier then and didn't think it was right for soldiers to vote. I still don't think soldiers should vote.

Julian Bond was on SNL and did a hillarious skit about how he said that lighter-skinned blacks were superior to darker-skinned blacks.  Garret Morris was like, "Say what?"

I grew up with the belief that the Democratic Party was the party of the "little guy".    Now they are the Party of the Hollywood Elite.

Garret Morris was a great comedic actor that never seemed to get the respect he deserved. I rated him right up there with Belushi,and Belushi was genius.
