It also follows the true genius of Wernher von Braun, who built the long-range rocket exploding over London in WWII to becoming "The Godfather of NASA".
Interesting film clip of Dr. von Braun from 1961, which was approved by NASA:

Also watched the LOTR (Rings of Power) first episodes... It has been woken up (women leads and minority cast) but it has it's charms too. Will continue to see if it develops with next couple of episodes..

I don't find it woke at all... no discernable politics (yet). That may change. Only weakness was the ice troll scene. If you can forgive the looseness to the original Tolkien silmarrion stuff, I think it's pretty enjoyable.

Galadriel is now this warrior commander, in the first LOTR movie she's this witch-like sorcerer. So they sorta mary sue'd her by making her a commander.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the book was excellent.  I give it 5 stars and it is one of the best books I have ever read, hands down!

How awesome!!  We attract quite a variety of birds in our backyard, but so far, no hummingbirds.  I've put out hummingbird feeders and with the heat and humidity all the nectar/sweetner evaporates.  I've tried putting the feeders in trees, on the fence and on a pole.  Notta.  No hummingbirds.

Any tips @Bigun ??

@Kamaji

LOL!  Just finished it.

It has the stereotypical White Redneck, the gore/action of any modern drug cartel flick...plus the nonsensical fantasy.

Final verdict?  It's cute.

Not really @libertybele other than being in the migration route.

They flutter around here (mostly solo) and anything bright colored grabs their attention for a second or two. We don't have feeders out (did years ago, but got tired of mixing up the formula).

I hate to see them leave for the Winter... like seeing the last firefly of the year.

I’m hearing a lot of good things about “Monarch”  - started on Fox this week.

Especially people who like country music are rating it high.

Anyone seen it?

Let us know if you watch it. It looked real white trashy to me, and I'm getting real tired of the entertainment industry trying to smear country people.

This weekend:
"Five", made in 1951.
One of the earliest "nuclear armageddon" films.
At over 70 years old, you'd think this would be easy to find "out there".
But it wasn't. Took some good searching and a bit of luck to grab it.

"The Last Kingdom".

This series is based on the Bernard Cromwell novels, and while it is impossible to beat the written word,it is still pretty damn good!

I am watching this on Netflix, but it is probably available from other video companies also.
