Just started watching "Line of Duty" on Brit Box.

It's a BBC tv show about the Metropolitan Police of London, and pretty interesting. And "Yes,the London cops DO carry guns. Not only handguns, but full-auto carbines at times. Or at least their version of the SWAT Teams carry them.

LOTS of dirty dealing and back-stabbing going on. So much that sometimes it's hard to remember "Who is in 3rd base".

NO shortage of political corruption through the leadership, either.

One of the bosses is a woman with a beautiful Scottish accent. Almost sounds like she is singing when she is doing nothing but talking. She could have her way with me if she played her cards right.

NO supermodels screaming "Hi,ya!" as they "karate kick" the snot out of a dozen bad guys without breaking a nail or a heel. I like that, too.

BTW,if you have a ROKU player you  can either watch it from the BBC home page,or through your ROKU by doing a ROKU search for "Line of Duty". If you do this, you can go back and see an episode again if you missed one because of a phone call, fell asleep, etc, etc, etc.

You can't do that through the BBC site for some odd reason. I watch tv to have something to do,and often fall asleep while watching it,so being able to do a replay is necessary for me in a show with so many complex characters and situations. Otherwise I would never know what the hell is going on.

I started watching Rick and Morty.

Don’t know why it took to watch this cartoon. The SF in it is cool, and Schroedinger’s Cat is alive and well in an alternate time line.

I am watching "Fear the Walking Dead".

I would have bet actual money I would never enjoy ANY of these shows, and decided to watch "The Walking Dead" (the original series) just to see if I could "get" what the attraction was.

I ended binge watching every episode.

I hear you there. When I come in from a job, I unload my stuff, catch up on the mail (especially bills), and when that's done, kick back in my recliner and often just zonk out, sometimes for hours. Being able to back up to the last scene I remember is not just important, but vital to understanding what I just slept through.

It's around elsewhere... Prime, I believe, in whatever they're calling IMDb now... I saw it recently in a couple places.

But yeah. I grew up around folks just like ol Walt. would like to say I am like him too, but I doubt I would fill them boots.

And while romanticized and dramatized (and more than a little dorkified by hollywood ignorance), the life portrayed there is like my own, to include the interplay between small town and rural, small town and county, and county and rez.

Great show.

I like Justified too, which has a good feel for the underbelly of rural crime. And I know folks just like ol Raylan Givens, Boyd Crowder, and gals like Ava and Winona. Heck, even the names seem natural...
Mrs. Joe loved it, because the writers had the complexities of LEO and other interactions along a reservation border down. She got me to watch, and I think we saw every episode at least twice.

Happened to stumble upon The Nice Guys, starring Ryan Gosling and Russel Crowe on Netflix (New Release)

Deadpan, with a terrific cast!  Angouri Rice reminds me of a 13 year old Reese Witherspoon and steals scene after scene!  Kim Basinger is 'perfect'.

Probably one of the best movies I've seen in years!    :2popcorn: :2popcorn:  :pop41:

Rewatching Poldark. Beautifully filmed, aptly written Masterpiece Theatre series. Even the soundtrack is superb.

@debraweist

Yup! If it is put out by Masterpiece Theater, you can count of a first-class production in all areas.

The do seem to do exceptionally well with the scenery, though.

Vergette and I took someone's advice and we began watching "Alone"
Accidently started with season 8, loved it. Went back and did  Season one and began season 2.
We are also witching "Only Murders in the Building". Very funny Mystery.

Plus, I’m absolutely in love with Ross Poldark’s horse. Equine eye candy.  :silly:

New season of “60 Days In” started Thursday night on A&E

Don’t know why I’m fascinated by this show. It’s kind of like “Scared Straight” for adults

Watching SEASON 4 of ANCIENT ALIENS....10 episodes on NETFLIX.

Without commercials the 'story' flows as it should.  And, it's an amazing story.

NASA 'began' under a tight group of high-level Masons...which ensured everybody thought similarly...in the stars, etc..  NASA's charter also says that everything discovered falls under CLASSIFIED status and kept from the American public.

It suggests (at least to me) that John F. Kennedy may have been removed because he was ACTIVELY trying to merge "NASA" with the USSR Space Program.

It also follows the true genius of Wernher von Braun, who built the long-range rocket exploding over London in WWII to becoming "The Godfather of NASA".

++++++++++++++++++++   Also, a great Episode on "The Greys".

Half right @DCPatriot ... missing the occult angle. And because of what it is missing, the picture is incomplete. You should look to history. These things have been happening all the way along.
