Schumer and McConnell have told their members that the two leaders have agreed to a proposal that would culminate in a final impeachment vote on Wednesday — after the State of the Union. https://nbcnews.com/politics/trump

Ayup!  We're going to see wall-to-wall coverage of Bolton, even more revolting than the Susan Rice Sunday-morning Benghazi TeeVee fiasco.

McConnell if you had the votes to block witnesses, this could have been wrapped up tonight, or the latest this weekend.  JUST WHAT did we get in return from Schumer for this unnecessary delay?

@XenaLee  I think McConnell is afraid of the SOTU victory laps.  AFAIK, a vote for the witness Motion is still on for tonight (but it would not be the first time I've had the rug pulled out).

Not if the only votes left are on the articles themselves.  If that's the case this extension won't matter one bit.

Trump should delay and reschedule the SOTU, IMO.   I'm betting that he wants that Victory Speech to be a glorious one AFTER the acquittal vote and after this sham of a fiasco of a hoax of a circus is OVAH.

What does he mean by "right now"?   From my perspective, that's how MSNBC has always been.  It's how the RL rolls.
