Roamer...you are wrong. I do not love everything Trump says and does. He has his problems. Fact is, I tune him out usually unless I am at a rally. His rallies say it all. There is no mistake who he is working for in this country, unlike any other president in my 66 years.
Yeah see,
@jafo2010 , his 'big shows' are where I trust him the least. The carnival barker in him comes right to the fore. He does love playing a crowd, and he is good at it, I will give him that... But that doesn't mean that the play is true. Or that he means what he says - That's the first character problem: With a serial liar it is hard to tell when they do tell the truth.
Thankfully, having been a grip for 'big shows' for some years, it is pretty easy for me to see through that sort of thing, and it's fake as hell to me.
And in terms of polls and such, I trust them less than I trust politicians. Our media in the USA is worse than the media in the USSR during the communist years. No one in America knows what and who to trust when it comes to news. That is not a good place to be.
Except Conservatives, who know better than to trust anyone. I don't believe Brightfart or RepublicanGleeHouse anymore than I do Wappo or the Gray Old Whore. The problem lies in believing 'your' side is telling the truth, not that the other side lies.
I suspect for the rest of my life, media will continue to get even worse yet. I could see media attempting to fix elections proactively for their billionaire owners. And with Soros running around with his anarchy agenda, nothing good will come of that either.
Suits me fine. But on that note, no it is not worse now, with the exception that the Republicans have now stooped to the same level as the leftist MSM... But that really makes no difference. Now, as compared to before, the internet has laid major media low, and any number of outlets are striving to expose the lies... That was not there in the days of Paul Harvey, Tom Brokaw, and Dan 'Whats-the-frequency-kenneth' Rather. Truth has a far better chance of coming to light now than it ever has.
So, my view of the future is bleak after Trump. We have globalists on both sides of the aisle waiting for Trump to leave in one or five years, and then they continue with their agenda. And I am of the opinion these people are the worst enemies the USA has ever dealt with. And who does that include? Well, so far the Bushes, Clintons and Obama. I suspect the next POTUS will be a globalist again because the majority of voters are just not tuned in to what the globalists are doing. And both sides of the aisle are controlled, so don't look to these self serving globalist to save the day.
And there it is... That quasi-messianic 'all-hope-is-lost-without' Tump. Bullsh*t, plain and simple. This is Dubya all over again. STOP putting your faith in men, and certainly not in one man. This is just plainly idiotic. No one man is going to change a damn thing, as Tump is proving just perfectly.
What it takes to change things is a Conservative Congress, more than anything - An entire political machine... Hopefully from a majority of counties and statehouses on up (psst: that's what the TEA party was doing until you guys showed up). Which is why I view this whole Tump movement with pointing and laughing. Y'all are doing nothing but wasting time.
As to the political field, what you are witnessing is the far left, representing outright communism, in a death match with the moderate right, which represents corporate globalism. A Hobson's choice where you are either supporting tyranny by committee, or tyranny by the board room. There is no choice in that, and thus my determination to support neither one, and in fact to be in opposition to both.
Until all y'all are done playing around throwing poo at the media and the dems, and come around to the serious business of vetting and electing ONLY Conservatives in order to tear down the globalist Republicans (which you are now supporting with a full throat, whether you know it or not), I simply have no dog in this hunt, and I will remain utterly opposed.
