This might be the future of the unskilled, redundant folks in a high tech AI future.


Unecessary flesh. No job, no purpose.

Nobody will go to the prom with them.

Their parents divorce, over them. "What to do with HIM?"


We need more facilities, and more will, for semi-permanent confinement.

IOW the days of an interview with the school Psychologist, should end.

Mental, moral defectives.

Maybe the Army should develop a special "boot camp" for these defectives (juvenile delinquents is what they used to call them).

I don't want to see the Army take these total misfits.  Judging by history, they just come out more dangerous on the other end.

And, the military needs good people, not losers.

When war was mainly about the size of the forces, that made some sense.

As Vietnam started winding down (1970) the US Army began weeding out people that had been more trouble than worth, since they were drafted.

No longer were they retained, to show "who was boss," and to punish them for being "eff-ups"

The Army just wanted them gone. The sooner the better, no punishments on the way out."

The mission of the military is difficcule enough, without playing babysitter, or juvenile reform school.

I believe that is the photo of the shooter since he's wearing the shirt described in the press. There is a question whether it is standard procedure to handcuff if he's dead. I was hoping someone from LE could answer.

Two reasons:
1.  He is handcuffed because a policeman cannot pronounce anyone dead. 
2.  Also, perp could have seemed to be dead when he wasn't, then attack the cop.

The Daily Mail has a picture of his sister, she looked like a kind person and pictures of almost all of the victims. They likewise, seemed like good people obviously. It's amazing that the police were able to stop this shooter in, reportedly, under a minute or it would have been much, much worse.
