Police are responding to an active shooting situation at an arts and entertainment district in downtown Dayton, Ohio early Sunday morning, the Dayton Daily News reported .

Several eyewitnesses reported on social media seeing multiple people wounded.

There has been no official word on injuries.

least nine people were killed and 16 others injured by a shooter in a popular entertainment district in Dayton, Ohio, police said early Sunday.

The massacre occurred less than 24 hours after a different gunman killed 20 and wounded 26 others at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

The shooter, whose identity was yet to be disclosed, also was killed, Assistant Chief of Police Matt Carper said.

The shootings occurred at 1 a.m. EDT in the 400 block of East 5th Street, police said. Though the area, known as the Oregon District, has many bars and restaurants, the incident occurred outside.

The rifle-toting assailant was killed by officers responding to the call. The FBI was joining the investigation.

That was the very first thing that I thought of as well. Too many IMHO, to be just coincidental random mass shootings. Meanwhile...all the DEMS and liberal mental midgets will call for gun control.

You don't see a lot of them over 30. (The Vegas shooter, whose motives we'll probably never understand, is an exception.)

This is a very specific demographic that is committing these atrocities. And before anyone says anything about gun control, I'll point out that Norway has gun control and it didn't stop Anders Nervik, who also fit the description. There is something gravely wrong with the situation of men in their 20s in western society.

Sorry.  Not an Alex Jones fan.  I do think though that the losers who commit these atrocities are influenced and encouraged by hate media.  How to deal with that media is a question mark since trying to snuff it out would violate free speech and free press.

There's a definite pattern and agenda in play here, and only stuckonstupid folks with chronic, if not fatal, HUB Syndrome will refuse to believe it.  It's obvious.  It's also how the "progressive left" rolls.   They always over-reach and they always show their hand via that over-reach. 

Hell, you've even got Bill Maher calling for an economic collapse via another recession.....just to get rid of Trump.  They're no longer afraid to actually say what they're thinking.   They're desperate.

They should be able to piece it together via his social media posts, contacts, phone calls, etc.  The people committing these mass shootings are not seasoned agents or operatives.  They don't know how to cover their tracks.

Maybe it was phony.  Got that yesterday with some early photos supposedly of the El Paso shooter.  Turned out they were frauds.
