Why give the time of day to an admitted liar?  I dunno.  Ask the cops, prosecutors, and juries who rely on the testimony of convicted felons and liars all the time.

   First off, Welcome Back @Emjay

The majority of the 'unwashed' here don't hate your guy and realize also that there is no viable option, at this point in time, other than to stick with the Guy who brung us to the dance, sure he steps on my foot and can't even do the jitterbug, BUT he's mine.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Not without cooperating evidence they don't.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Sure they do; if they believe the person.

The committee is hearing the final words of Cummings and it will be over - now, it is over.
There are five pages of comments here, mostly degrading Cohen.  That is what the Reps on the committee did, going over and over the fact Cohen lied.  His amount of lying is topped by Trump's thousands of lies and he keeps doing it day after day; lying is his life, making up what he wants to be true. That is fact.

Well, the fact is, Cohen is a liar. That’s why SDNY and Mueller used other sources and not his word. He only verified what they had. What was most important about what he said today was the fact he could not discuss an issue, due to an open investigation.

Quote
I will believe Mueller's report as to who did what.  Until then, it is all speculation from both sides, each side calling the other one "criminal".  Certainly, Mueller has already indicted numerous people who are either going to prison or making other restitution for their crimes.

When discussing the Mueller investigation, people conveniently leave out the scope is centered around people associated with the campaign and their contacts with foreign influence. It’s not solely about Trump. You’ve probably noticed how they backed away from their initial ‘no campaign collusion’ stance, after the conviction of Manafort and knowledge he passed information along to an operative in Russian intelligence.

Quote
I thought the Republican, don't remember the name, putting out a twit before Cohn testified, threatening Cohn if he testified he would give info about affairs of Cohn to his wife, and asking would Cohn's wife still be waiting for him after he got out of prison, was disgusting and he needs to be reprimanded for doing that.

You’re thinking of Matt Gaetz. He’s now under investigation in the state of Florida for that stunt.

The Democrats are currently desperately trying to make this Cohen deal an earth-shattering event.

No bombshells here. Not even a firecracker. More like a couple of poppers.

I just entered a referral for criminal investigation of Michael Cohen, who violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act by illegally lobbying on behalf of foreign entities without registering

Cohen talks about "blind loyalty." His real blind loyalty? It's to the almighty dollar.

Inspector Clouseau may not realize what a can of worms he may be opening with BTA.

One foreign deal, a stalled 2011 plan to build a Trump Tower in Batumi, a city on the Black Sea in the Republic of Georgia, has not received much journalistic attention. But the deal, for which Trump was reportedly paid a million dollars, involved unorthodox financial practices that several experts described to me as “red flags” for bank fraud and money laundering; moreover, it intertwined his company with a Kazakh oligarch who has direct links to Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin.

[snip]

In the years before the Trump Tower Batumi deal, B.T.A. Bank became entangled in a spectacular crime. Mukhtar Ablyazov, the bank’s chairman, was a prominent figure in Kazakhstan, and not just because he was a billionaire. He was one of the leading sponsors of a political party opposed to President Nazarbayev. In 2009, when Nazarbayev signalled a desire to seize control of B.T.A. Bank, Ablyazov fled the country for London—taking billions of dollars in bank funds with him. He accomplished this with a diffuse scheme: dozens of offshore companies under his control received loans from B.T.A., and none of the loans were paid back.

[snip]

I asked Cohen, who visited Georgia with Trump, if he had been concerned about the Silk Road Group’s connection to B.T.A. Bank. “I didn’t even know that B.T.A. was involved in this entire scenario up until the moment you told me,” he said. He added that he was not aware of any information about how the tower would be funded—or even “if there was going to be any funding at all.” He went on, “We had not gotten to that stage of the process. Remember, this was a licensing deal. The financing of the project was the responsibility of the licensee”—the Silk Road Group.

I recently spoke with John Madinger, a retired U.S. Treasury official and I.R.S. special agent, who used to investigate financial crimes. He is the author of “Money Laundering: A Guide for Criminal Investigators.” When I told him what Cohen had said to me, he responded, “No, no, no! You’ve got to do your due diligence. You shouldn’t do a financial transaction with funds that appear to stem from unlawful activity. That’s like saying, ‘I don’t care if Pablo Escobar is my secret business partner.’ You have to care—otherwise, you’re at risk of violating laws against money laundering.”

You got to be kidding, lady.  This place needs more humor now that Ambassador Frank and Roos are gone.

And, you are the last one to talk.  When you are here all you do is try to stir up shit amongst the members and tell people how they are supposed to post.  Then play the poor victim when people call you out for your shit.

If you want to support Trump you do better by just keeping your mouth shut.

I took a few days off @Right_in_Virginia but way too many people are still sleeping with the enemy while wrapped up in a comforter of virtue.

Don't these NTers even see what's happening.  The democrats grabbed a little power and are now openly baby killing, open borders socialists and yet we have way too many people nit picking that they don't like the one man who can save us from that.

Wake me when it's over.  I can't stand it.

Two posts & nothing but complaints about this lousy forum and its disgusting posters.

I say this to Beto fans, Trump fans, all fans of politicians: it is un-American, ridiculous, and dangerous to be a fan of a politician. They aren't pop stars. Support them if you agree with their policies. Criticize them when they go wrong. They are servants, not celebrities. —— Matt Walsh

Yet with all that "battering" @mystery-ak they didn't lay a glove on him.

Has some of us wondering if the American media was supporting the POTUS' efforts in dealing with North Korea instead of holding a kangaroo court circus trying to impeach/remove him, perhaps Kim might have not gone 'all in' on betting a do-nothing Democrat winning in 2020.

Why give away anything when you're betting President Trump will be a civilian in two years?

I don't see that this point has been made yet, @DCPatriot.  The dems could have held this hearing whenever they wanted to.  And, what they did is hold it while Trump is overseas trying to get an agreement with North Korea so that the whole damned area doesn't go nuclear.  The fact that they did it during this effort is beyond disgusting, and undermines the effort.

Seems like people are forgetting this hearing has been postponed and rescheduled a few times. I suppose that was all convenient, so they made sure it would coincide with the second summit.   *****rollingeyes*****
