CNN’s Zeleny: Hillary Clinton Telling Friends She Has Not Closed the Door on 2020 Run

Sunday on CNN’s “Inside Politics,” senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny said former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is telling people she has not yet closed the door to running for president in 2020.

Zeleny said, “Hillary Clinton is telling people that she’s not closing the doors to the idea of running in 2020.”

He continued, “I’m told by three people that, as recently as this week, she was telling people that, look, given all this news from the indictments, particularly the Roger Stone indictment, she talked to several people, saying look, I’m not closing the doors to this.”

He added, “She is still believing that there maybe could be a possibility under the argument of this, ‘I won the popular vote. All of this has sort of vindicated what happened in 2016.'”

Could Bill's odious remora really be delusional enough to think she'd get the kid glove treatment again, or that Biden, Sanders, Warren, Harris, Gillibrand et al. would gladly step aside to give her their wholehearted support? It sure would be fun to watch her try though - she could cause the party a lot of embarrassment...

  The fact that Kamala, Warren, Booker and others have thrown their hat into the ring after meeting with hellary last August tells me her political career is OVER.  These dems are well aware of the 'berniefication' factor at the hands of Perez's dnc.

I guess Trump should have locked her up.  Instead of letting a friend off the hook because she had suffered enough.

During confirmation, he announced he would recuse himself from any investigation of her. Unlike the Mueller probe recusal, that wasn't a surprise.

Sessions was appointed on Giuliani's recommendation. Shouldn't be surprising it was a bad choice. Now, we find out Barr and Mueller have been friends for decades. You've got to wonder who gave that endorsement.

Right now she's fishing for compliments and wanting people to ask her to run, and it's not happening.  Her age and health simply won't allow it.  Does this look like she's healthy?  There have been several clips of her stumbling; one up the stair of an airplane, one talking to a group (head bobbling) and another getting escorted into a car.

Do you do that on purpose?  I am sure that you know it was Trump that said she had suffered enough.  You also know that he honored her presence at the Inauguration lunch.  But I guess Jeff Sessions just couldn't control Trumps sympathy for his friend.
