A little girl from Honduras stares into the camera, her young features contorted in anguish. She’s barefoot, dusty, and clad only in a diaper and T-shirt. And she’s just had to run from clouds of choking tear gas fired across the border by U.S. agents.

A second photograph, which also circulated widely and rapidly on social media, shows an equally anguished woman frantically trying to drag the same child and a second toddler away from the gas as it spreads.

The three were part of a much larger group, perhaps 70 or 80 men, women and children, pictured in a wider-angle photo fleeing the tear gas. Reuters photographer Kim Kyung-Hoon shot the images, which provoked outrage and seemed at odds with President Trump’s portrayal of the caravan migrants as “criminals” and “gang members.”

Trump officials said that authorities had to respond with force after hundreds of migrants rushed the border near Tijuana on Sunday, some of them throwing “projectiles” at Customs and Border Protection personnel.

Big deal these kids are barefoot, in diapers, anyone ever see how they take care of their kids when they get here and receive all that free stuff courtesy American taxpayers? The kids are running around barefoot in diapers! And don't forget where they put all those poop filled diapers.........on the road, sidewalk, parking lots, your car, because they are ignorant, dirty, diseased third worlders.(okay, so maybe not all of them, just a hell of a lot of them)

The kid on the right, with the flip flops, is the same one in the top picture, holding the wiffle ball.  No shoes in the top pic, so they've been taken from her for that picture.

I guess the Democrats aren't the only ones unwilling to do what it takes to get serious about immigration.

For the most part I agree with most here, you're a bonehead, but a warning shot or two (as you suggested) is fine in my book. How do you stop an invasion, you give fair warning then shoot a few in the head and a few more if needed until they get the point. I ain't going to play the PC game like some do here. This is an invasion, to heck with playing nice.

In the long run, it will save lives, instead of them crossing in the middle of the desert and dying, they will understand that the border is guarded and either go home (due to no easy passage) or attempt riskier options. But for most, it will end their foolish game with the MSM cameras.

Skipping lead shot from riot guns off the pavement is a well established riot suppression technique, and where the "Street Sweeper" (now considered a "destructive device" by the BATFE) got it's name. The shot is skipped off the pavement, which widens the pattern and into the legs of the advancing mob, which usually shuts that crew down. The Street Sweeper was capable of firing enough rounds fast enough without reloading to work from one side of a street to the other and back skipping the pellets off the pavement into the legs of the mob of rioters/looters.

Fire rifles into the ground, or even large shot from shotguns, and the possibility of lethal wounds from ricochets is high.

It could be done in a way that wouldn't endanger the crowd. They could also fire them over their heads for a similar effect. I want to scare them away as painlessly as possible. They do need to be afraid though, otherwise it will never stop.
