Ohio: Muslim given $1M bond after charged with abuse of a corpse and setting woman’s body on fire

UPPER ARLINGTON – A man was arrested Monday in connection to a woman whose body was found burned in an Upper Arlington park Oct. 14.
Upper Arlington police say 27-year-old Mohamed Abdullahi was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and arson.
Tuesday morning, Abdullahi was given a $1 million bond in municipal court. He must stay away from the location of the incident and the family of Simpson as the conditions of his bond. He is scheduled to be back in court Nov. 1.
Police said Abdullahi was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was a person of interest in the death of 23-year-old Bobbie Simpson. Police say DNA taken from Simpson’s body matched Abdullahi.
