A Google exec has come under fire after sending a now-deleted tweet to the GOP over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who became the 114th justice of the US Supreme Court following a heated political battle.

"You are finished, @GOP. You polished the final nail for your own coffins. bleep. YOU. ALL. TO. HELL," tweeted design lead David Hogue, adding "I hope the last images burned into your slimy, evil, treasonous retinas are millions of women laughing and clapping and celebrating as your souls descend into the flames."

Hogue, a Google US design lead who has been with the Mountain View, CA company since December 2013, confirmed that he deleted the tweet - and that the opinions expressed in it "are mine personally."

As much as my personal satisfaction would delight in such a thing, I do not trust handing government that kind of power to bust up and neuter private companies because their execs are a bunch of morons and Commie Leftist scum. 

Such precedents remain and WILL be used as a dangerous weapon against us and our own enterprises.

We broke up Ma Ball because they forced us to lease effing phones. Google controls everything on the internet. Apple pays them somewhere around 9 billion a year because they are using Google for all their shit. They are developing people surveillance for a hostile Communist country. I cannot think of a more dangerous all encompassing company to ever exist.

As for the govt' taking this over being bad, at least I can vote those bastards out when I don't like what is going on. I can't do shit about Schmidt and his company that his heavier duty than the damn NSA. Break Google the eff up.

I think most of the leftists are more anti-Christian than atheists.   In which case, they are projecting.... as they fear that their souls are the ones that will "descend into the flames".  And unlike most of the things leftists think... they'd be right about that, at least.

I should add I don't use Google, for what thats worth. I'm not sure what should be done with them but what they're doing is wrong.

Writing a search engine is significantly easier than building a car, though either is certainly possible.  Plenty of people, and even St Elon, have started auto companies.

What should be done with google is exactly what we're doing, don't use them.  The internet worked just fine before they came along and it'll be just fine when they are "gone".

Our alternative is Bing, which is not nearly (in my view, for what I need) as good as Google.

Yeah, you could.  I almost did when Google messed up G-Mail and refused to let us go back to the old G-Mail.  But there are so many people and contacts that have my current address, it would be a hellish nightmare.

The problem with all the other search engines = very little content.  I was looking up something the other day google had 5000 + related pages,  duck duck go maybe 50.  Same with bing

Yeah... no where near the same... a regular phone wit a banana on the back is like a kickstand for your head... the slimmer cordless phones on my desk don't fit well in the crook of the neck.. And the Droid - Fuggetaboutit... That bloody thing is entirely awkward to use without earbuds. Completely inorganic and having no redeeming quality at all. So now I am stuck with a headset for the desk (Platronix) and a set of wireless earbuds around my neck in case the cell goes off... And no prop for comfort on long calls.

I have been on Yahoo since the beginning, dang near... When it was USA1.com... Was a total Yahoo freak back in the day, when it was good, with mail and messenger... Made my bones in html writing pages for friends on Yahoo's free webpages (can't remember what that service was called).

Still a bitter clinger, it being the lesser of three evils... though I have come to hate em more than love em.

But my distaste is deeper than yours. For all that they claim to customize to fit the user, they sure as hell don't (none of them). I am as self-evidently a conservative redneck as there can be, but am I served up country music, nascar, and farm news? Ads for hunting and camping gear, guns, and automotive performance? Nope. Hip-hop and Hollywood, everywhere you go. Friggin ads for crap I will never use and have no interest in. Give me a news page, and I will wander around on it for 10 minutes and not find a single dang thing of interest.
