Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was reportedly questioned by police in 1985 after he was accused of throwing ice on someone during a college bar fight.

The New York Times obtained a report from the New Haven Police Department on Monday dating back to when Kavanaugh was an undergraduate student at Yale University.

Kavanaugh, then 21 years old, was questioned along with four other men after an early morning altercation at Demery’s bar in September 1985.

Kavanaugh was not arrested but was accused of throwing ice on someone for “some unknown reason,” according to the report obtained by The Times.

Kavanaugh did not want “to say if he threw the ice or not” when speaking with officers, according to the report.

I wonder how many other guys and gals got into some type of trouble during their college years.    I'll bet most of the senators and congresspersons got plastered in college.  Maybe more than a few of them ended up in the back of a squad car.  My God!  This was more than 30 years ago.  And as far as I can tell, Judge Kavanaugh was not arrested or charged with a crime.
 
Perhaps some real journalist should look over the college years of Ms. Feinstein and all the rest who want to sit in judgment of Judge Kavanaugh.  Ah, biut that would take some real journalistic effort and we don't have real journalists anymore.

Thinking back in my youth, I would have trouble finding anyone I know who didn't have a dustup in a bar.

Kind of strange a LEO was involved rather than a bouncer.

Hell, even I (a perfect angel, that).... once had a catfight in a bar with a female that .... I found out later....

had grabbed my husbands'.... um.   My female intuition kicked in and we went at it.   I won, of course.

Yep, they check everythang. I was being interrogated on one of my security clearance re-investigations and the agent nailed me that I was in arrears on property taxes. I had a lot on the Trinity River and the taxes were so low, I'd sometimes go for years before I paid em all. Well I had to promise I'd get current on my taxes and that was good enough for the agent.

I have been in PLENTY of bar fights. I have never, ever been questioned by the police about 'throwing ice'... LOL! Throwing people, maybe, barstools, tables, chairs... the odd drum set... but not ice.
