Martha McSally pulls away to take home Arizona GOP Senate nod

Rep. Martha McSally won a resounding victory in Tuesday's Arizona Senate Republican primary, defeating former state Sen. Kelli Ward and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

McSally took home the win after pulling away from Ward over the final weeks of the primary campaign. In the closing stretch, McSally bashed Ward in a TV ad for past statements on President Trump and immigration before subsequently taking aim at likely Democratic nominee Kyrsten Sinema less than a week before election day.

I like her.  She's being dissed a little for not being a Trump supporter in the Presidential race but she supports him now (like me and many others).  She attractive without being a Barbie.

We don't that I know of.  However, Kelli Ward still has a lot of support in the GOP, and hopes for a future.  She would throw all that away with a third-party run for the Senate.

One has to keep in mind the District she has been representing:  Gabby Giffords (the gun-grabber who was shot in the face, with the nutty astronaut husband) old District in Tucson, and that's a very difficult District for a Pubbie to hold on to.  She only won it by 207 votes when she was first elected.

I wouldn't argue with that.  Even though her campaign literature always includes a picture of her in a white jacket with a stethoscope, she had no practice to speak of.  After med school she went into "public health," whatever that means.
