Jesus liked to keep it simple. “Judge not, lest ye be judged.â€
This does not mean you should be unable to discern good from bad, but it sure defines how god perceives those who cast the first stone. I once had a mail exchange (old school mail not email) with the great Archbishop Shelby Spong on this very subject. That phrase, along with parable of casting the first stone IS who Jesus was. When we who are much farther from perfect than he, decide to judge a man....a president...harshly for his sins WE become the hypocrites.
We did not elect President Trump to be Pope or Chief Rabbi, we elected him to be our secular leader and to fight the deeply embedded corruption that is consuming our government AND to fight the rising Socialist tide...his long ago affairs with sleazy women was a known aspect of the mans personal shortcomings. But the relevance of that in the big picture of right and wrong pales to insignificance next to his determination to fight the extreme left.
Hell, MLK was a sleaze hound as well as was JFK, but they nonetheless achieved great things in bringing justice to those who previously were treated as less than human.
