The media that's pushed this story doesn't give a hoot about her. To them, she was just another missing white woman.

Soon enough, they'll move on to another. It's just like the Summer of the Shark: selective coverage to paint a distorted picture of reality.

They'll move away from the story now that an illegal has been arrested.

And her boyfriend, sure looks white and her father too. I'm not going to dwell on this, we know from young people to virtually everyone, a lot of people say some stupid things on the web.

It looks to be legit. Twitter isn't like Facebook so you can't backdate posts, and the last post on the account is from a day before her disappearance. So the probability, I'd say, is pretty high it's hers.

Even in your death penalty states, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Virginia, there is probably only a small percentage of people executed by the death penalty.  This murder may be depraved and deserve it but it's probably a close call to say what murders deserve capital punishment and which don't.

 Bullcrap.  Go say that to the parents of that murdered girl.  You’d quake at the prospect, but behind your keyboard you feel free to exercise tolerance for killers.

 I’ll stick with the Old Testament rule—-a murderer forfeits his own life.  Your POV may be more liberal.

Personally?  If it were me making the rules I wouldn’t be so worried about “cruel” punishment when it comes to taking out those wastes.

Its a pretty common sentiment on college campuses these days.

Kids, wanting more than anything to fit in, are susceptible to bandwagon appeals, sadly.
