The 10 Most Destructive Americans of My 8 Decades

Frank Hawkins
July 29, 2018

Quote
America has undergone enormous change during the nearly eight decades of my life. Today, America is a bitterly divided, poorly educated and morally fragile society with so-called mainstream politicians pushing cynical identity politics, socialism and open borders. The president of the United States is threatened with impeachment because the other side doesn’t like him. The once reasonably unbiased American media has evolved into a hysterical left wing mob. How could the stable and reasonably cohesive America of the 1950s have reached this point in just one lifetime? Who are the main culprits? Here’s my list of the 10 most destructive Americans of the last 80 years.

10) Mark Felt – Deputy director of the FBI, aka “Deep Throat” during the Watergate scandal. This was the first public instance of a senior FBI officially directly interfering in America’s political affairs. Forerunner of James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page and Andrew McCabe.

9) Bill Ayers– Represents the deep and ongoing leftist ideological damage to our education system. An unrepentant American terrorist who evaded punishment, he devoted his career to radicalizing American education and pushing leftist causes. Ghost wrote Obama’s book, “Dreams of My Father.”

Excellent article!  And I would point out that most of what it contains has been said a few times already right here on ths very forum.

I remember during the 04 election there where people who wanted John Kerry to win (this was at the TOS). I shudder to think on how certain cases from the Supreme Court turned out had John Kerry been able to place his Justices on the Supreme Court.

Both of us having been long time members of TOS, I think we can safely say that agreement includes them too.  Even if JR can be a chicken-sh*t.

Wonderful compilation.

By the time I saw who was his #1...was smiling ear to ear.

His dishonorable mention list is superb too!

Honestly, from what he posts, LBJ should be number one.

Also, he blames "Jimmy" (should be Jimi) Hendrix and Janis Joplin for the drug culture that came to be in the '60s but what about the Beatles, Jim Morrison and the Doors and so on?

Timothy Leary, Abbie Hoffman, there are bound to be others, did some help Hollywood go so left? It seems I've heard that too.

His "Peoples' History of the United States" has poisoned the minds of millions over the years.

Good addition.

John Kerry certainly deserves a spot on the list.  I'm not sure it's #1.

When you read the list and reasons for inclusion...you become aware of just how treasonous and criminal the eight years of Obama were.

...just realize I didn't even read the author's reasons for including Obama himself.  LOL!

Think Maxwell Smart...."We came THIS close!!"

Thanks for the post. I'm saving this article for future reference. Our national government has been seriously infiltrated by the enemy. Returning the national government to a federal government will require shuttering agencies and mass firings to save the republic.

Sorry, but Bill Clinton is by far number one.  Between his coziness with China, failure to deal with bin Laden, authorizing Operation Merlin, and engaging in the Agreed Framework, he's single-handedly responsible for continuing major foreign policy problems we deal with for almost 20 years after he's president.

How did FDR not make the list?  New Deal policies still weigh us down today.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

FDR, well, the author does talk about his 8 decades of being alive, maybe the author was alive when FDR was around but likely he was very young. 80 years ago was 1938.

I'm thinking that, too.  Most people, even the author, tend to see world history as starting when they're first born or in their formative years.  Everything previous is ancient history, except to folks like VDH, who are trained Historians.  The Author did title it the 10 worst in his lifetime.

Doubtful.

Our political leaders are a reflection of the character of the people in our culture.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

It either falls within the timeframe, or it doesn’t. I was just a baby when Johnson was president. Between the Great Society and Vietnam, he’d be on my lifetime list.

People learn from personal experience, and it's been a long time since 1989 (and RR had his faults, too).  I'm a little more optimistic, and that depends on how well the current occupant of the White House can sell those winning ideas.

Yes!  Totally interesting list.  I'm gonna go back and read each nominee's history more carefully, but I did read John Kerry.

Kerry was total scum and every time I write his name I want to add "thank you Swift Boaters". These guys were war heroes and not particular political but they put themselves out there and saved us from Kerry.

But even though he was a traitor, I'm not sure what evil he was actually able to accomplish so don't know that he would be my No. 1, though he's certainly in the running.

If I was going to be picky I would have Woodrow Wilson high on the list as well.

I think this author had a very personal dislike for Kerry's actions during Vietnam.  I imagine Kerry hurt more of his friends and comrades than anybody else on the list.

As for the Swift Boat Vets, the presstitutes still work overtime smearing the names of those good men, every chance they get.

The stipulation seems to be within the author’s lifetime.

Haven't read the whole thing but both my son and son-in-law always wear a Jimi Hendrix cap.  Not sure why.
