Strzok hearing devolves into partisan fighting after FBI agent declines to answer questions on Russia probe

Peter Strzok's hearing before Capitol Hill on Thursday quickly devolved into rancorous partisan bickering after the controversial FBI agent declined to answer questions about special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

Strzok declined to answer the first question from Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), the Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, about how many people he interviewed in the first week of the federal Russia probe — on the instructions of the FBI general counsel.

"Based on that, I will not answer that question because it goes to matters related to the ongoing investigation," Strzok told lawmakers.

This is quite a little slap fight they have going on live TV right now.

The way Stzrok acting now proves it played a role. His attitude reeks of how insulting he thinks it is that he has to answer for his actions.  The fact that he thinks he's infallible comes shining through in every thing this idiot has been saying. And it's really a teaching moment to see how the Dems led by this Swalwell buffoon are trying to provide top cover for him.

Honestly...they need to replace the entire leadership chain in the Hoover Building. Go out to the field and grab some high speed Supervisory Special Agents and put them in those positions. That's about the only way at this point you're going to restore some integrity to the Bureau at this point.

It's getting chippy (hockey term) in this hearing.

I heard the partisan chaos on the radio and couldn't believe how our government has devolved. When I got home I turned on the TV and there was more petty gamesmanship. I had to turn it off.

Too bad we effectively have no Attorney  General.

I do not understand why the FBI Director Wray, doesn't issue direct orders, for agents to answer all questions.

There must be administrative rules and laws, which they have broken, which could land them in prison.
