Just to prove what a giant theatrical jerk off this whole spectacle is, consider what Gowdy said today about investigational bias, compared to what he said a couple months ago concerning the FBI role during the election. He said this knowing full well the content of the Strzok/Page texts and the fact they were part of it.

"I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got, and that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump," he added, with regard to how the Trump campaign was treated.

He is also trying desperately to convince us that all decisions made within the FBI are by committee when the fact is that heads of departments, like he was, make weighty decisions every day that can only be overridden be the director himself. In this case James Comey.

Itâ€™s not subjective at all. Itâ€™s based on what the man actually said. They were all kinds of legit questions raised about the dossier and investigation during 2016. Nunes opens the probe and put Gowdy in charge of reviewing documents and writing the memo. When that memo was released, Trump says it totally vindicated him. Gowdy said no, because there were things unrelated to the dossier that warranted the probe.

In the previous post, that link shows how he said the FBI investigation during 2016 was the right thing to do, even though he knew Strzok was biased and leading it. Prior to being selected as a congressman, Trey was a hell of a prosecutor. Something happened to him during his time in DC. Given the time he spent on investigating Benghazi and came up with nothing, he has a lot of nerve to say â€˜finish it the hell upâ€™ to Rosenstein. Gowdyâ€™s fecklessness and contradictory positions just in the last few months are what is tearing the country apart - along with equally useless reps and senators in both parties. Thank God he is leaving.

Peter Strzok did a great job. In the past, I read every email/text/phone message between him and Page that was released. There was nothing there that was real; his texts were romantic and playful, making jokes about Trump as hers were. In jest, she said they needed to have a secret group meet at a bar. That was all personal banter, not trying to do something at work to bring down Trump.

Gowdy was yelling and yelling, having a a breakdown trying to make those text/phone jokes some big operation they were going to do. It is Gowdy who was nuts, making a big scene for himself so he could be proud of his yelling while "grilling" the man.
