(Geez, y'all get as full of yourselves, pattin' each other on the back, almost as much as I do, and that takes work!)

No one has ever accused me of being an AT (and I wasn't a Trump supporter in the past), but his election has sure brought the scoundrels out of the woodwork, and that was sorely needed.

Will he win this battle?

I don't know, but by doing this much against those who would do what they could,  stopping the American people from picking who they want as there leaders, I'd say that's a victory in itself.

I wouldn't bet against him, not at this point.

What they have tried to do and succeeded in many ways is subvert our Republic.   This is a crime against every single American citizen.

He had another similar tweet a few weeks ago:

I find his tone and choice of words disturbing...they sound like something one of Iran's or Saudi Arabia's twisted Imams would say.  His inner Muslim is sneaking out for walks around the park.

When asked if he told the President about who actually paid for the 'dossier', he replied "No!  That was not my mission!"

I understand your sense of a disconnect.  However, I do believe that Brennan is in a panic mode--becauise I certainly would be if I were him.

Perhaps the author of the article knows, as I do, that Brennan is in serious trouble and also presupposes, as I do,  that Brennan knows that he is in serious trouble.  Perhaps the author of the article is trying to find and publicize some actions by Brennan that could be construed as meaningful signs of panic on Brennan's part.

Well, I agree that it's a stretch to call Brennan's rhetoric a very sure sign of panic.  On the other hand,  one could argue that inasmuch as Brennan is surely trying to figure out how he can save his own neck from impending criminal prosecution, the very fact that he is now bothering to confront McConnell and Ryan with a seemingly lame political warning could be taken as a sign that he is running out of stratagems for saving himself (which desperate situation is surely a situation of panic). 

In short, Brennan is manifestly trying to give the Deep State's orders to McConnell and Ryan to pull out all stops to stop Trump--i.e., to find Republican ways of stopping Trump.  Brannan's rhetoric suggests that the Dems have run out of options.

Brennan's attempts to mobilize GOP leadership will not be likely to pan out for him.  McConnell and Ryan will probably figure that it's safer to ignore Brennan completely than to go after Trump in the way that Brennan is demanding.  (Still, the GOP leaders in Congress might very well be unnerved that a famously scary guy like Brennan is even talking to them.  Brennan may be counting on his nasty reputation to send a sub rosa threat along with his "lame" warning about saving America.)

Thank you for the explanation.  Your suppositions about Brennan may ultimately be proven correct, but I’ve still seen no hard evidence that Brennan is indeed in “panic mode”.  We’ll know he’s safe though as soon as Trump starts leading “Lock him up” chants at his rallies.

The main reason why I wouldn't bet against Trump is that he really does have the U.S. military behind him (in 2015, they begged him to run for the WH), and under our present state of a domestically centered global war against the Deep State, our military intelligence has a huge amount of literally global intelligence from the NSA, not to mention the DOJ's OIG.

As Qanon has repeatedly said about the intelligence, WE HAVE EVERYTHING.  Qanon has also said that TIMING is everything at this point.  In a recent series of tweets about JUSTICE, he has said WE'VE BEEN CRUISING FOR A LONG TIME AT 40,000 FEET, BUT WE ARE ABOUT TO LAND.

According to what I can tell, and from dozens of Senators, Representatives, and talking heads on the News, Sessions has defacto 'recused' himself from his entire job. There are very many people in D.C. calling for Sessions to be replaced. All he seems to care about is immigration. Nothing else seems to deserve his attention.

According to what I have gathered from interviews and articles, Sessions has consigned his job, or at least his responsibilities, to Rosenstein. And Rosenstein, as a foundational part of the NeverTrump Deep State, is only interested in *protecting* (instead of prosecuting) Mueller and Democrats from any form of investigation and prosecution.

I'm kind of semi-retired.  At some point I should go back to some level of work so I'm not eating into my capital, but I'm just not sure what I want to do, and frankly full time doesn't really interest me.  I have to say, this AG gig sounds like it's right up my alley.  If anyone finds another job opportunity where I can simply recuse myself from working while pulling down six figures, please let me know.
