John Brennan, director of the CIA during the Obama administration, is running for cover. He could be facing criminal charges for his role in the Deep State cabal that sought to interfere in the 2016 presidential election and then to undermine the legitimacy of the duly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump. Acting in desperation as the noose tightens around him, Brennan tweeted a warning to House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, claiming they will "bear the majority of the responsibility of the harm done to our democracy" if they don’t stop President Trump from continuing along his “disastrous path.” 

The “disastrous path” to which Brennan took such umbrage was the president’s own tweet on Sunday, in response to news reports that an FBI informant was hovering around members of Mr. Trump's campaign and asking them questions under false pretenses. President Trump demanded “that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!”

Brennan is evidently unfamiliar with the U.S. Constitution. Here is a simple explanation for the man who once voted for the Communist Party candidate for president, Gus Hall, even though Hall by then had been a long-time enthusiastic supporter of the Communist Soviet Union’s hardline expansionist policies. The Department of Justice is part of the Executive Branch of the U.S. government. Under Article II of the Constitution, Mr. Brennan, the president of the United States is the head of the Executive Branch. The president, therefore, is acting within his constitutional authority to order the Department of Justice to undertake an investigation of possible abuse of power for political purposes within the Executive Branch over which he now presides.

If Brennan is panicking then that's because Trump isn't folding as he's supposed to.

The president has been unnecessarily patient with a process that he singularly knew was a subversive plot – first by the FBI to knock him out of the presidential campaign and now by Mueller to undermine his presidency or possibly set up an impeachment effort by democrats.

They tried to kill the king and, underestimating him, failed. Now finally there will be hell to pay.

It would be perfectly reasonable and certainly legal for Trump to 'YOU'RE FIRED!' Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller, even today. I can't imagine what he is waiting for.

Even if the Democrats do block any other appointment for AG, so what? Sessions is a ghost employee anyway. I'm sure it would not have a negative effect anything at all for Sessions to go away with or without a replacement. He is dead-weight. It would likely be better for everyone involved.

Not to quibble but he's not a king.  Nor is the importance of this a crime against Trump.

What they have tried to do and succeeded in many ways is subvert our Republic.   This is a crime against every single American citizen. 

This is treason.

There are very many people in D.C. calling for Sessions to be replaced. All he seems to care about is immigration. Nothing else seems to deserve his attention.

According to what I have gathered from interviews and articles, Sessions has consigned his job, or at least his responsibilities, to Rosenstein. And Rosenstein, as a foundational part of the NeverTrump Deep State, is only interested in *protecting* (instead of prosecuting) Mueller and Democrats from any form of investigation and prosecution.

You know, of course, I was speaking metaphorically. But yes, this was an attempt to subvert a democratically constituted election and thus a crime against the people.

Some people might be surprised coming from a big Trump supporter such as myself, but I don’t believe for a minute that NeverTrumpers hate Trump more than they love America; they just simply hate Trump thinking he’s bad for America. They’re wrong, of course, but that’s probably closer to the truth.

Nah @aligncare   Just look at what they spend hours discussing ... it's porn stars, adultery, sheet sniffing and tweets all the time.  For most NTs-- universally --- a personal disdain for the man is what drives them.  There's been little thought given to how this blind hatred affects the good of the country.
