Obama Called McCain to Thank Him for Vote against Obamacare Repeal

President Barack Obama called Senator John McCain (R., Ariz.) last year to thank him for casting the decisive vote against legislation that would have effectively repealed Obamacare, according to an excerpt of McCain’s forthcoming memoir obtained by NBC.

In McCain’s memoir, The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations, which he coauthored with longtime aide Mark Salter, he describes receiving a call from Obama in July after crushing Republican hopes of dismantling the former president’s signature domestic achievement.

Obama called to say thank you and added that he was “counting on me to be an outspoken and independent voice for the causes I believed in as I had been during his presidency,” McCain wrote of the call.

It's sad that despite McCain's service and sacrifice during the Vietnam War, what he will be remembered most for is how he screwed his party, the people who voted for him and the nation as a whole.

Apparently you haven't heard the propaganda tapes he made FOR the commies.  I have.  You really should check them out.  If you call that sacrifice and service, it may well be ... but...

it was service for the Viet Cong, not for America.

And why would he do that?  Possibly, because he knew they were already dead?  Or maybe because, if found, they would bear witness to the torture and human rights violations.  Either way, he's a traitor in MY book of logic.

So I don't begrudge what anyone says or does in captivity (for the most part).   Of course that doesn't include privileged rich spoiled brats who go over and sit in anti-air craft guns.

What I do hold against McCain is all of the actions he took after returning to sacrifice our military people and weaken this country.
