Parkland student rails on Rubio at March for Our Lives: Is $1.05 all a life is worth?

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., came under the cross hairs at the March for Our Lives anti-gun violence rally in Washington, D.C., with students from the high school in Parkland, Fla., where a deadly shooting last month took place, wearing tags that draw attention to the amount of money he has taken from the National Rifle Association.
Sarah Chadwick, a junior at the Parkland school, took the stage during the afternoon, and explained why the credential she wore bore the figure "$1.05."
She said taking 3,140,167, the number of students enrolled in Florida schools, and divide that number by 3,303,355, the dollar amount of money Rubio has reportedly received from the NRA, it comes out to $1.05.
"Is that all we're worth to these politicians? A $1.05? Would $17.85, all it cost you that day, Mr. Rubio?" Chadwick said, referring to the $1.05 figure multiplied by 17, the number of people killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas on Valentines Day.
