ConstitutionBy Onan Coca March 9, 2018Thursday was a very busy day for the rumor mill that has been consistently swirling about the aging and ailing senior Senator from Arizona, John McCain (R-AZ).Most of the afternoon was filled with speculation that the Senator’s condition, he’s been dealing with an aggressive form of brain cancer for several months, had deteriorated to the point that the Senator would soon be forced to step down.(more)https://constitution.com/just-rumors-retirement-swirl-around-anti-trump-leader/
As predicted by almost everyone, he is much too sick to hold any job, much less be a Senator. But, who knows? With his vindictive vengeful nature, he may cling to his seat like a drowning man clings to log, right up to the bitter end.
McCain leaving will hurt the Democrats much more than it will affect the Republican Party. McCain called himself a Republican but he voted, spoke, and acted like a Democrat. His leaving will either have no effect on the Republican Party or it will be positive for the Republicans. The Democrats are the people sweating McCain leaving, not the Republicans, and especially not Trump.
He should have stepped down months ago when he was told that he was terminal and that his type of brain cancer is the most aggressive form of cancer that there is. I'm hoping he makes his announcement soon.
Agreed in the sense that he is a RINO and the immediate impact will be felt by the DEMS. As for the impact on the GOP, it depends on who is elected to succeed him.
What difference would it make? McCain or a Democrat, who cares. At least with a real declared Democrat in office we would clearly know what we are dealing with. McCain is worse, as a duplicitous a$$hole.

Along with the producers of Sunday morning talk shows!
@240B The immediate benefit is the vast circle of power that he has accumulated over the decades he has been in office will evaporate. I'm sure lobbyists have been jumping like rats off a burning ship. No person should be able to stay in office as long as he has. Its not good for the country.
They are not worried. They are buying McCains corpse to sit in on these shows Weekend at Bernie's style.
It is not 'will evaporate', it is more like 'has evaporated'. Anyone who does not believe that McCain is terminal at this point is crazy. McCain is, even now as we speak, likey in a coma or so heavily sedated that he doesn't even know his own name. McCain is hanging on to his seat as a corpse, or at least very close to it. How Congress tolerates this is anyone's guess.
I heard that when McCain dies, he will lay in state..........in Ho Chi Minh City.
if his wife has to speak for him, what does that say about his health?
Cindy McCain: John McCain 'has no intention of resigning'by Al Weaver | Mar 8, 2018, 4:20 PMCindy McCain, the wife of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., rejected speculation on Thursday that her husband might resign from the Senate after he's been absent from Washington and continues treatment for brain cancer in Arizona. In a tweet, McCain said her husband is "doing fine" despite missing the past two months on Capitol Hill after being diagnosed last summer with glioblastoma. "Contrary to popular belief @SenJohnMcCain is doing fine and has no intention of resigning!" McCain said in a tweet Thursday afternoon, labeling those who are pushing such reports as "crackpots." ...
