Flabbergasted: Frank Luntz Shocked As Alabamians Back Roy Moore in Vice News Focus Group
Breitbart, Dec 9, 2017, Matthew Boyle

MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Frank Luntz, a GOP establishment messaging consultant, was visibly flabbergasted as every single one of his focus group participants in a Birmingham area Vice News-produced panel backed Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate.

Titled “Why These Alabama Voters Are Sticking By Roy Moore,” Luntz’s Vice News focus group aired on Vice News Tonight on Dec. 8 on HBO.

“Are you all Christians here?” Luntz opens the seven-and-a-half-minute long segment. “Yes,” all of the focus group participants, who joined Luntz in a Birmingham area restaurant, replied.

The short (7 minute) video included here http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/12/09/flabbergasted-frank-luntz-shocked-as-alabamians-back-roy-moore-in-vice-news-focus-group/  encapsulates the debate that has been ongoing on this very site.

I'll let each viewer decide which side Luntz represents.

Luntz should travel outside the Beltway sometime.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

I don't like Luntz but why bring Bush into this?

At that point, Porter chimed back in: “Let’s be real. It was a different world. Forty years ago in Alabama, people could get married at 13 and 14 years old.”

“Yeah,” Wade said.

Rhonda Richardson, a nursing assistant, said she dated older men when she was 16-years-old.

“I dated an older man at 16,” she said. “So we don’t really—“

“How old was he?” Luntz asked.

“Thirty-one,” she responded, the same age group in which Moore was accused of engaging in this various behavior.

I've never seen Luntz so pained and bewildered.  It was pretty funny.  And how fat is Luntz now? Oh, my gosh.

The guy was behaving like a fool. I was actually insulted when he looked at the group and demanded, "Why are there no Black people here?" He was indirectly calling them all racists by saying that, as if it was somehow their fault that no Black people showed up.

Didn't he and his crew choose the panel. The question should be directed at him. Why didn't YOU choose any Black people to be here? Dumbass!

Roy Moore is suing his accusers!

Fantastic - is it all of the women or just a few?  He's not specific in the tweet.  If he only sues one or sues them all, he'll still have to explain this.....

“Let me state once again: I do not know any of these women, did not date any of these women and have not engaged in any sexual misconduct with anyone.”

Besides, that announcement has very little to do with the group rationalizing I was referring to in the previous post.

Also, it’s a fake Moore account.

Disgraceful performance by Luntz.  All of his chins were quivering at the fact that these hicks didn't seem to understand what he was saying.

They weren't hicks at all and expressed themselves well.  What a Comeuppance for this fake.

I didn't see one person in the room younger than 50 either.

The panel was certainly far from random. I don't know if the intent was to imply that all Moore supporters are old White people, but that's how it looked.

The whole thing was a farce.

Didn't Luntz pick the panel?  Most of the people were middle-aged with a few more elderly but not many young people.

Yes, @Emjay  Luntz picks the panel.  I suspect he thought this group of middle-agers and older would be outraged by the reports about Moore in the media.  Once again, Luntz takes one in the gut.

Story says this was on "Vice" (Far left, pro-gay cable network.  They canceled "History 2" for this), so I suspect he knew they'd be Moore supporters, and was counting on making them look like a bunch of hayseeds straight out of Mayberry.  Apparently they laid him out when he tried it.

Yep - when Ms. Richardson admitted to dating a 31 year old at 16, she sure dispelled any notions of being backwards.

Stay classy.

There was a time in this country when a man in his 30s discovered to be involved with a 16 year old was correctly derided as a creep - like Buttafucco.

There was a time when we recognized different parts of the country had different attitudes about things, but apparently not when it gives some an opportunity to knock others as being "backwards."
