Flynn to testify Trump 'directed him to make contact with the Russians': report

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn is expected to testify that President Trump instructed him to contact Russian officials during the 2016 campaign, ABC News reports.

Trump "directed him to make contact with the Russians," ABC's Brian Ross said Friday, just moments after Flynn entered a guilty plea for lying about his contact with Russians during the presidential transition period.

Flynn from the start, lobbied for Turkey, was paid by Turkey (or a Turkish firm) and eventually registered as a foreign agent for Turkey.  All of this seemed to be a bit careless on his behalf imho.  I don't know if it was overtly though, doing something bad.

I've heard "senior members" and I've heard "Trump". If Trump specifically pushed to Flynn to go to the Russians, that was an extremely foolish thing to do. Either way this isn't good.

Trump cares about no one but himself and his family, yet he put everyone out of his office and asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn, asked him several times to do that.  He had to have a reason and it had to be connected to him and his family because again, those are the only ones he cares about.  Flynn meant nothing to him - he wanted to stop this due to his and his family involvement.
