I have CNN on and they are quick to hear about such things, quicker than Fox.  So far, nothing.

It's sad to happen anywhere but a Walmart? The common people (often) go there, maybe everyone goes there actually.

Ours is a super, super Walmart and not far from the house, maybe 1.7 miles or less.

I've got to add on, a lot of people where the ear-buds now, ear plugs when they are out and about. I heard some expert say maybe one should not wear these with all of these zany things going on.

 This is why malls are dying and brick and mortar stores are taking a hit.  Why go out in the cold, drive all over God's creation looking for a parking spot and run the risk of being robbed or shot when you can sit home in your jammies and order online? 

There are still some things I want to go to the store and look at before buying, but more and more, I'd rather do my shopping online.

That is still all that is available on local media right now, other than a police statement that there is no current active shooter situation.
