How utterly absurd, @Right_in_Virginia
There is no 'seeing clearly' in this. It's a deal with the devil... And that never works out. Unless you're another devil.

His supporters made a deal with the devil to begin with. In for a penny in for a pound... Once your "in" it becomes easy.

The question I keep asking is what is so bad about getting the victims of Hurricane Harvey recovery funds?

There isn't a single person in either house that wouldn't have voted through a clean bill with a roll call - And Irma waiting in the wings. Nobody needs those optics.

Playing politics with it, at least the politics should be going in the right direction.
What will we now have to do to cover Irma... with Jose in the wings.
Watch and see.
Now that relief funds can be held hostage, they will be.

A common theme with Trump supporters is the ends justify the means. Winning is more important than how you do it, who you destroy. The left has been doing this for a long long time. The divide is vanishing...

You are absolutely crazy. If all members of Congress wanted a clean bill there would have been a clean bill! Jezz!

I have greatly reduced my presence, might do a short post two or three times a week. Twitter is fun, but 144 characters makes it a challenge.
144 characters? Politics by haiku. Good luck with that.

3. McCain, Romney, Kasich, JebBush and others will assure you they are conservatives.

"Conservative" is a poorly defined word these days. Like it or not.

So will most trump supporters, when they are not either...
The definition for Conservative remains the same. Those standing upon the bedrock truth of Conservative principles are indeed the only ones who can claim Conservatism. Conservatism IS as Conservatism DOES.

Yessum!

Exactly right!  A PEE CAN is a thing that people used to keep under their beds at night!

Watch it, Bigun.  We Texans take our pronunciation seriously, ya know!

I want to write something, but I don't want it to be distorted nor taken the wrong way, @jpsb.

The question you ask is exactly how liberals push their agenda.  "What is so wrong with [result]?" --
where the result is provided sans consequencesor other conditions -- leads people to have to answer "nothing" or look like they are heartless.   "What's wrong with feeding everyone?"  "What's wrong with healthcare for everyone?"  etc.  It makes it look like Socialism is GRAND!

The thing is, nothing's wrong with the results...but the key is that they're asking the wrong question.  Feeding everyone's fine, but that's not the issue.  Healthcare for everyone is fine, but that's not the issue.

And "getting the victims of Hurricane Harvey recovery funds" is fine....

....but that's not the issue!

And conservatives realize that, so that's why conservatives aren't answering your red herring.

This is brilliant.

I can't really say what I think anymore anyways, it seems.  Some days I like what he does, other days I can barely stand it, so by the end of the week I have everybody mad at me because they think I've gone to "the other side"...

And this is different from Democrats my entire life...how?  They've always done that, it's always one crisis or another!  It helps they have the media on their side ready to spread the lies.

Healthcare was a "crisis" too when the Democrats had to do something about it... Now we have Obamacare and can't get rid of it...

That's the way I always heard it pronounced.  I learnt it when I lived in TX, we never even said it back in MI.  Never really a reason to, we never had any.

His supporters made a deal with the devil to begin with. In for a penny in for a pound... Once your "in" it becomes easy.

That's right. To include bending the tenets of Conservatism well past the breaking point.
