Dem to introduce impeachment articles over Charlottesville

By Mike Lillis - 08/17/17 10:21 AM EDT

Rep. Steve Cohen (D), a Tennessee liberal, announced Thursday that he will introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump based on his defense of the white supremacists who participated in a deadly rally in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend.

“Instead of unequivocally condemning hateful actions by neo-Nazis, white nationalists and Klansmen following a national tragedy, the President said 'there were very fine people on both sides.' There are no good Nazis. There are no good Klansmen,” Cohen said in a statement.

“President Trump has failed the presidential test of moral leadership.”

Cohen’s decision follows on the heels of a similar effort by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), who last month introduced his own articles of impeachment contending Trump obstructed justice amid the federal investigation into Russia’s interference with the 2016 presidential election. Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) is the only other Democrat to endorse Sherman’s resolution.

Don't laugh.  They figure they will be able to taint Trump's presidency enough that they will defeat the GOP in 2020.   And considering what other delights they still have planned between now and then.... they could be correct in that assumption.

Pelosi and some other DEM Leaders are right in trying to dampen this, some of her fellow travelers overestimate the fractures in the GOP party. Nothing would pull us together more than unconstitutional impeachment proceedings based on crap, of a duly elected President.

My thought exactly, if they pull this string now they're gonna break it.  Same for this 25th Amendment crap they keep putting through themselves.  All they're doing is proving they're insane with hate over Trump and the people who may have voted for him last year.  The press is driving in the same wagon rut.

These people WANT blood to flow in the streets.  They have already successfully created a permanent victim meme among their constituencies, so sacrificing many of them by pushing their political opposition into retribution and defense is EXACTLY what they want to do.

They are playing for all the marbles, and since they are more than half the population in the country - we are already irrevocably on the path to complete balkanization with the intent that all the chaos will cause most to applaud for an iron fisted Collectivist running the show.

That they think they have the power to remove and punish anyone they deem 'racist'/'homophobic' and whatever else they label them with, is testament to the fact they can do pretty much what they please.

Trump did nothing to build or unify, only divide further.  So his own party will gladly walk away from him, because they too know what will rise from the ashes of the former Republic, and they want  a seat at that table.

Conservative America and every vestige of 'Whiteness" are now going to be the new Kulaks.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Good.

I hope they play it over this ridiculous charge.

Just now Sean replayed a golden oldie. Sound clip of Senator Clinton heaping praise by the bucketful on a former Exalted Cyclops of the KKK: Robert C. Byrd.

But, you see, that's not enough for the duplicitous media to point their fire at madam secretary, nor any of the other racist democrats, BJ, Gore, Biden. No, that's reserved for any republican in office who ever said they thought the film, Song of the South was a good flick. That's their playbook: paint all Republicans and conservatives as racists.

And along those lines here's an interesting fact. Guess who the Grand Wizard of KKK endorsed in the 2016 democrat primary? That's right, Hillary "I ain't no ways tiard" Clinton. And all I heard from the media was crickets.

Hypocrisy thy name is democrat.

If the Rats could just keep their powder dry and wait it out they might just find something "Impeachable".

Sadly they have the right to do so...but not the ability.

So sad. Too bad for them.

There, fixed it.  btw, doesn't Tennessee have an official State holiday honoring Nathan Bedford Forest, the founder of the KKK?

I just heard that bit on my drive home (we have tape delay here).  It's a good one.  Also, it's good to know the Grand Wizard endorsed Hillary.  After I verify that I have some Bookface friends to drop that bomb on.  They've been riding me because Duke endorsed Trump.
