I think there is a slight possibility that you are splitting hairs.

Only to those wearing rose colored glasses.

Our form of government was created by Freemasons, not Christians.  And "In G-d We Trust" never specifies which one.  For Freemasonry never assumes that humanity knows which religion is the right one, only that there is someone/thing behind our universe and everything in it.

If you prefer a 'Christian' nation... Italy, France, England, Sweden, Poland, etc. are all available to you.

That is largely untrue. Free Masonry is a Luciferian organization  (*not a 'no body cares which god' organization), and while it is true that it is deeply involved in our establishment, there is no question at all that America and her people are, and have been distinctly Christian, and have until the not so distant past, followed natively the Judeo-Christian ethic and worldview.

And until recently, and even today, Free Masonry bills itself in a way which causes many to be unaware of it's motives and intent.

I understand that the choir sang a variety of patriotic songs.  Get off it.

Oh, hell no. I will not 'get off it'.

No church should be endorsing Trump. Period.

Have you ever wondered why a person wearing glasses looks like a nerd while a person wearing sunglasses looks cool?

Anyway, I don't liked to see the great First Baptist Church of Dallas maligned because it has been a force of good for over a hundred years in Dallas.  I don't like the current pastor... he is a hate monger but that shouldn't take away from the good that Church has done.

I don't know much about the founding or history but all the men in my Mother's family were Masons.  And all the women were Eastern Star (except my Mother, who wasn't a joiner).  The Eastern Star Home for elderly wives of Masons still exists in Arlington, Texas.  The elderly relative that Dr. Criswell helped was not a wife or widow but had 4 brothers who were Masons and he got her in on that technicality.

Have patriotic songs ever been sung before, by a church choir, in the presence of another President?

Seriously?  Last time I checked, Washington, Franklin and Hancock were indeed Masons; however, they were also Christian; secondly not all of the founding fathers were freemasons.  Again, this country was founded upon Christian principles, Morals and values!  I am related by marriage to a descendant of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence whom also was a signer of our Constitution. If you would really like to get into a argument about freemasonry and the founding fathers, I'd be more than happy too.

Oh, hell no. I will not 'get off it'.

No church should be endorsing Trump. Period.

If a Church was doing what which they were supposed to be doing - they would be pointing the nation to God and His Christ instead of men and their leaders.   They should be glorifying God and pointing a people to redemption no matter where it was they were singing, and by WHAT they were singing.

Glorifying a president first and foremost and referencing a people first and foremost over the mention of Whom gave us our Glory and Greatness as a nation to begin with is why our greatness as a nation is over and done.

We praise ourselves as a people and praise our leaders and ascribe all our greatness to ourselves in poem and song and remembrance anymore. Little is in praise of Him in whom our liberties were gifted in the first place, and in Whom the blessing of this land is dependent.

If the church and this people will not acknowledge God before men, then Yeshua will deny them before the Father in that Day.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

QFT.
I do not mind patriotism. I do not mind a church celebrating the nation. Love of country is not against Yahweh, who establishes the nations. That's all good.

But a church, as an embassy of the Messiah, represents Yeshua, and as such should be very sure of the endorsements they make.

There is nothing in this happy-birthday, plastic-banana, feel-good, painted-over, shtick-wielding idiocy that resembles Americana, not to mention Christianity.
They will rue the day.

Good grief! Again, I don't see that this church or their choir was endorsing President Trump.  You may want to consider that many churches contain patriotic songs in their hymnals such as, America the Beautiful, My Country 'Tis of Thee, Faith of our Fathers, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Bless Our Native Land, The Star Spangled Banner, etc.

Much do about NADA!  I just thank God that there is nothing more "news-worthy" going on today on this day of national celebration of our nation's founding.   So by all means.... carry on....
