In short, human driven climate change poses a great threat, unprecedented in type and scale to well-being, health and perhaps even to human survival……

Looking ahead to 2100, for which some modelled scenarios project an average global warming of 4 degrees Celsius , the report foresees that in such conditions people won’t be able to cope, let alone work productively, in the hottest parts of the year. And that’s assuming social and economic institutions and processes are till intact. Some regions may become uninhabitable.

People near the equator don't work much, anyway. People in Texas are 4 C hotter than most of the USA, and they be fine.

Hot and humid. Bring it on.

In my considered opinion, if mother nature is headed for hotter, ain't nuttin peoples like us, be able to do. Nuttin.

Besides, it took a century of industrialization and population growth to get to this point. It would take far longer, barring some mass pandemic, to restore equilibrium.

That right there just lost me on this. Those models have a long and rich history of failure and none of them can project the future weather correctly.

Sounds like central Texas in late July and August.
