Ha!  I love that!  Trump really does know how to play this game called "Politics."

As Lyndon Johnson said to an Aid when he told Johnson that his opponent was not a pig F***er:

"I know. I just want to make the S-O-B deny it."

Sounds kind of like the Wild Wild West days of Slate's fray.   Yes, there were moderators.  But no, they didn't step in very often.  Damn, it was fun!

Yes.  :)

That's disappointing.  I was hoping for a suplex followed by a sleeper hold.

Nah... proper match end would have a figure 4 leg lock.

Frontier folk of Montana 150 years ago would laugh at this being an assault charge.  Wussification of society is now complete.

I hear you. I thought it was funny, and it dang near convinced me to vote for the man. But I probably won't...

It's not like they were the only two people there. There were multiple members of the press. All of them, I'm sure, had cell phones. The moment Jacobs's ambush started, they should have known something newsworthy was happening.

Yet we only have one corroborating witness, who only gave her word, which suspiciously matches exactly what the victim's claiming (right down to the most sympathetic portrayal possible, no aggression or anything according to her). If no one else witnessed this happen, and it allegedly happened in this kind of setting where lots of others could see it, then what?

Audiotapes can easily be doctored and taken out of context.

This could easily be a hoax. I'm inclined to think that this was either exaggerated or never even happened.

@jmyrlefuller

The left are past-masters at setting this sort of thing up,and then screaming innocence.

I am to the point now where I no longer give a damn. If you are a leftist activist and enabler,that is excuse enough to beat the snot out of you.

And that dainty little fellow couldn't have been slammed too hard to a cement floor because he is too busy whining about it instead of calling for a nurse to scratch a itch he can't get at because of the casts and pulleys.

Is there a video? I'd have to see a video.

I could see body slamming some obnoxious reporter... not saying it's right, but I could sympathize.

@Weird Tolkienish Figure

I'm not sure I would believe my lying eyes the first or second time. I think it would take at least 3 body slams to convince me it happened.

Can someone explain to me why there are 2 reporters from a Leftist British paper covering some shit election in MT?

@Frank Cannon

Sure. They were there to provoke an incident so they could play the role of victims and sell more papers and advertising.

I'd voted for him.  If this doesn't make me a "conservative" in your eyes, I'm good with that.

Actually, Frank, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they wanted to go see Yellowstone and found a way to work it into the expense account. It isn't like nothing is happening across the pond.

@Smokin Joe

Why,if you didn't know better,you might suspect the leftist Guardian sent a couple of reporters over to the Colonies to instigate.

EVERYBODY knows that can't be true,though. The left never instigates stage plays,do they?

I don't know how this guy could be considered an asset to the GOP.

@CatherineofAragon

 I don't know why anybody gives a flip about the GOP anymore. Do you REALLY think the GOP represents you? Seriously?

Special election tomorrow, the left needs a win so they can go ahead with their 'GOP rejected by voters' stories they've written and ready to publish for the past three months.

I sure hope you won't be in the same foxhole as me.

Complicity is a bitch bubba.  The MSM is counting on you.

@catfish1957

Although they all mean well,NONE of them are going to be in a foxhole with anyone. They are going to be conductors on the trains heading to the gulag,and hall monitors once they get there.

It would just be impolite to do anything else.

All the candidate has to do is to say "I have asked you to conduct yourselves in an orderly fashion so I could answer your questions. Either do so or this interview is over.", and if they don't, shut it down.

@Smokin Joe

Good strategy! Show the public your values aren't worth fighting for,and show the left how to shut down any opposition to them at the same time so that their POV is the only one that gets heard.

Look at how wonderfully this has worked for the last few decades.

Agree.  There is just a part of me that likes seeing some fight back at MSM.

Cause folks the tandem of the left and MSM are beating us in this war right now.

@catfish1957

Really? You think that the way to run a successful campaign is to allow your opponent to disrupt your speeches and other campaign efforts and just shut you down so their POV is the only one getting heard?

Blech!   If those three idiots had been in charge during the founding of this nation, we'd all be speaking with a cockney accent, no doubt, right about now.   Thank God we still have plenty of fighters in America.....so far.  We're going to need them.

What he hell are you talking about?  I was supporting the view that in 90% of the time there are two sides to every story.

Which by the way, seems to be changing by the hour.....

Not a cockney accent.  I think they were more of the brawler variety of Brits.  Maybe a more elegant, sisified British accent.

But you're right about everything else.

The only think I'm kinda wondering about is why are there hundred pages or so of comments on a 'nothing' topic?  Is nothing else going on in the world.

John Bolton just scared me about Isis.  I really think they are more of a danger than Russians or North Korean little dictators.  We can fight those people, but Isis feeds on disorder and chaos.  Anytime a corrupt (or non-corrupt) leader is taking down in the Middle East, Isis moves in.

Agree.  Except, I think the entire Moslem religion is counting on their extremist militant factions to reach their goal of world domination.

I do not believe this man "body slammed"  anyone insofar as I comprehend what the term  means.

@DiogenesLamp

You don't actually think a reporter would dramatize an event to "sell" a certain POV,do you?

Isn't the formal name for that "editorializing" when the left does it,and "lying" when the non-left does it?

That is exactly what I thought happened when I heard the term "Body Slam".   I instantly assumed it was a massive exaggeration to what happened.

So do the narrative controllers tell us.

Exactly.  See my earlier post.  This is already happening.

IF someone sticks a mic or a phone 2 inches from my face, you damn right I am going to at least backhand someone.
