A couple of weeks after his inauguration. If Trump said something like this its clear to me anyway it was a throw away line said in complete ignorance rather than in an attempt to obstruct justice.

Of course it will not be characterized this way and the spirit in which he said it won't matter. Unless there's more than meets the eye here he'll be in deep pucky.

As stated by others, we need to see the document (or at least Congress does). We need to know if this is a formal government memo which can be admissible as evidence (under risk of perjury) or just a off the cuff comment in an email or informal memo.
