There was talk earlier of a possible vote on Saturday.   We've got to watch them - they're sneaky.

They pulled out all the stops to get the vote today. It must have been a really bad vote count if they pulled it instead of postponing it.

The word on the street is that the further they went with it the more votes it lost so it was NOT the freedom caucus but RINOS that killed it.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Now comes the interesting part.  Neither Trump or Ryan have really had to face a loss of this magnitude.  Will they man up and learn from this, or will they hunker down and refuse to budge?  Ryan has at least been in the position of having to work with others on a peer-to-peer basis.  Can Trump learn enough quickly enough to get there? And, the big question - do they listen to the voters or continue to take their own advice?

Yes.  Now the whole thing is just in limbo.  It would have been nice to know who voted what and why.
Yep. Before they all go back to their districts and say it didn't repeal enough so they didn't support it.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I understand that @IsailedawayfromFR , do you not think members of the Freedom Caucus weren't in contact with Cruz and Lee or am I assuming to much, past history has shown this to be true.
It could be they were in contact, but Cruz, Lee and Cotton have zero House votes.  The reason that Ryan pulled bill was he did not have a majority of votes in the House, as the Dems and conservatives would not vote for it.

Cruz, Lee, Cotton and a lot of us were cheerleaders.

What should happen is an immediate downgrade by HHS on Obamacare which can easily be done by Executive prerogative.

Obamacare will soon shrivel up to almost nothing, without support from anybody, feds, healthcare companies, insurance companies, etc.

Then a smart Speaker will introduce legislation to remove it as law; otherwise, it will remain on the ledger and some future liberal congress or president can resurrect its sorry ass.

In brief: use Executive Orders to the fullest to weaken, then kill later.

Then, once it is in fetal stage
