President Trump may urge lawmakers to pass a compromise immigration reform bill during his speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, a senior administration official told television network anchors who met with the president.

You're right, but it was the Trump supporters who went nuts about immigration and how Trump was so much tougher than Sen. Cruz. We in the Cruz camp knew this wasn't true.

This may be a compromise with the Senators, who knows. Better to get something done than nothing.

Trump certainly is proving tough on immigration and border security.  Unless one doesn't read the news.

I guess the best thing was to be for open borders like Bush, then, one can stand proud with the Texan and the minority majority state he helped make, Enjoy mates, 10 or 20 years down the road. But the big thing is just to make sure one is critical of Trump, never mind hypocrisy.

Except compromising 20-30% gives you 100% of things you didn't want in 4-5 years.  Reagan compromised on amnesty, then never received the support and enforcement Congress agreed to funding.
