After OSU Terrorist Attack, Ohio Legislature Has MAJOR News About Guns

November 30, 2016| by Kim Pines

On Monday, an Islamic terror attack was perpetrated on the campus of Ohio State University. The attack injured 11 and the terrorist was killed, thanks to a cop with a gun. Now, the Ohio legislature is considering loosening the penalty for carrying a gun on campus. This is from Townhall:

HB 48 reduces the penalty for bringing a gun to campus grounds from a felony to a misdemeanor and would allow universities to make their own policies regarding concealed handguns on campus. It also permits concealed-carry licensees to carry guns inside certain public areas such as day-care centers and designated areas in airports and police stations. State Rep. Ron Maag is the bill’s sponsor.

I believe ALL of our universities, college campuses and schools should be required to have an armed-guard(s) on staff.  In spite of recent shootings in our schools,  they remain gun-free zones making our students easy targets.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

The Ohio State University campus in Columbus is 1,777 acres.

The students need the ability to defend themselves, not depend on armed security to be at the right place at the right time.
