2016 Election: The Washington Post produced the latest of what seems like countless stories about how Donald Trump is having trouble convincing Republicans to support him. This is almost an entirely media-created fiction.

"Holding together Republicans who have reservations about him," Post reporter Robert Costa writes, "remains a vexing challenge for a candidate who has repeatedly clashed with his own party." The story carries the headline: " 'He's not one of us': Trump is still having trouble winning over many Republicans."

So you may clamp the lid on the boiling pot this time, it will only result in a larger, more devastating political explosion down the road.

The problem is that Trump is #NeverConservative.  We have been proving that to you for over a year now.  Yet the only thing that has changed over that time is that now you embrace the same liberal policies that Trump embraces.

A year ago, you were all about building the wall.  Yet now you support touchback amnesty.  Eight years ago, you decried Obama's 'stimulus' bill.  Yet now you support an even bigger stimulus bill.  Six years ago, you railed against the Obamacare mandates.  But today you support the Obamacare mandates.

So the only problem I see is this:  What caused you to become such a big time liberal in such a short time?

I was thinking about that well over a year ago.  Which is why I refused to support the candidate hand-picked by her husband as the easiest candidate for her to beat.

The candidate himself, for being too self-indulgent and incompetent to broaden his outreach beyond his core supporters to the general electorate.

And every person who voted for Trump in the primaries---those who helped make an ignorant, unprepared, egomaniacal, pathological liar/con-man/sexual abuser the Republican nominee.

I can't pretend otherwise and I won't.  I've always disliked him on the basis of being a gasbag braggart, but after learning so much about him and seeing him in action, I detest him.  He's repellent to me and I can't imagine casting a vote for such a person.
