I thought I’d start a thread on Hurricane Matthew.  Many people along the east coast of Florida and Georgia and South Carolina will be impacted.

The storm has strengthened overnight, the pressure is rapidly dropping and wind speed increasing, still at Cat 3 but getting close to a Cat 4. I’ve even seen a few scenarios where it could become a strong Cat 4 to near a Cat 5 storm when it grazes or hits the Florida coast.

If there are GOP’ers in the path of the storm, please take care and check in.

That track is crazy. But if it holds, that would mean parts of Florida will get hit a second time from this same storm.  Not as a hurricane but even if a minimum tropical storm or a strong tropical depression, that could be potentially disastrous, dumping a lot a rain over an already rain soaked and damaged area.

I'm in the path, so far it's a glancing blow but with storms you never now.

If it turns West again even a bit, I may take a direct hit.

This isn't my first storm. I've been through a few in my life, but they never get easier. I'm as ready as I can be.

All shutters up, plenty of food, water and gasoline for the generator safely stored, and most importantly, the bar is fully stocked.

All roads are closed as of 3 PM.

DEFCON 4

By 6 PM or so we'll be at full DEFCON 5 and first responders will no longer respond to calls.
