Cruz campaigned with Trump, shared similar views, allied himself with Trump.

I voted for Cruz all the same but I think it is inconsistent where as Cruz supporters continually trash Trump.

How is it inconsistent to hold the same view of Donald Trump during the primary and during the general election?

Projection. It's they who were and still are obsessed with Ted Cruz. NeverTrump uses, 'obsessed with Ted Cruz' as a convenient attack line. Oooh, see! Trump is crazy insane, he's "obsessed!"
Yet your side is the one constantly still attacking him even though the primary was over months ago and he has nothing to do with Trump anymore. Is it any wonder why people are scared of Trump winning, if this is the way Cruz is being treated, all for refusing to kiss a ring?

This has been discussed ad nauseam through thee months.  TPP is trade promotion authority (TPA) and comes into play is as a means of helping to get TPP passed  (fast tracking the bill). Those opposed to TPP tend to be opposed to TPA.  (except of course, Ted Cruz)

Except that.....Cruz voted against the TPA, which had been altered/changed, the second time around.

You really do need to at least try to keep up with the facts and the reality.  Dontcha think?

It is inconsistent that Cruz himself was buddy-buddy with Trump for quite a long time in the campaign, even being at a rally with him in DC. Also, articles came out that Trump and Cruz had the same views on some issues such as border security.  Articles also came out that the Trump Cruz relationship was a "bromance"

So, the candidate Cruz himself basically aligned himself with Trump to all of a sudden ignore as if this really happened.

For the Pro-Cruz side to harp at Cruz as being the most conservative candidate is limited while calling others liberals. In ways he was the most conservative candidate per the Conservative Review scorecard which may be a Mark Levin creation but at the same time, that snubs other candidates as well. I think that is what some of this is about.

My point, is it just doesn't seem right to excoriate someone and hold out one's candidate as being so much better after all of that. I don't see how one can make it clearer.

Respectfully, I think folks should follow a conversation,

2 supposed conservatives here, try to shoehorn nazism or fascism into the conversation. Such things should be responded too if their unique contribution to the "party of Lincoln" is talking about such things, oh, and maybe some avant garde music videos by one.

Another poster, really all the time, makes a career of ridiculing one politician per articles, I don't see anyone trying to shut down their points of views or squelch free-speech. Others will add a derisive remark in unrelated forums.

Trump grabbed the 'wall' idea from Cruz' position, documented as early as 2011, so, yes, Trump shared that position with Cruz. Where the real seminal difference starts creeping in is on the issue of abortion. You are either Pro-life or you aren't, and Trump's comments about Planned Parenthood, saying he'd appoint a pro-"choice" SCOTUS Justice, etc. are part of that rift. Add in lying about Cruz from Iowa on, and the orchestrated campaign against Cruz with attacks on family and especially his wife, and Trump distinguishes himself as someone I wouldn't vote for at gunpoint.

Thanks for the clarification.

Do you think Trump had the same "buddy-buddy" relationship with Cruz and do you view him consistent in that and his personal attacks on Cruz's family?

Based on 2009 figures (7 years ago) the Department of Homeland Security estimated  the Hispanic population in TX is 1.68 million. The nation as a whole is said to have 10.8 million, according to the Department of Homeland Security.  Personally, I think that figure is very conservative.

http://www.texasmonthly.com/politics/everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-illegal-immigration-but-didnt-know-who-to-ask/

I think you mean the number of illegals (not Hispanics) The number is a lot higher than that too.

It's funny how the Mother Jones crowd is apoplectic over it as well.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

One point that hasn't been brought out is that this poll was taken in Dallas and FW.  Cruz has always polled better outside metro areas.

Bogus and biased.

I can attest to that.  I spent a month in Tripoli 5 years ago and never felt uneasy.

Now, there is no way anyone should visit.

@IsailedawayfromFR I read an account recently from a man who fought against Gadaffi before he was deposed. He said life was much better in Libya when Gadaffi was in power than it is now. I'll wager the average Syrian feels the same way.

I also used to visit Indonesia in the 80s when Suharto was in power.  Another dictator who, although he was forced out for corruption, kept an iron fist in a Muslim country.  Never felt uneasy there either.  In fact, I left with quite a number of Indonesian friends and believe the people there are some of the friendliest I have ever met.

It went downhill fast after Suharto resigned, and I would not visit there again ever.

Yes, because Cruz shines the light of truth on Trump and exposes him for the Leftist phony that he is.

I just love this eager cheerleading for mush-moderate RINO Republicanism.

As if we don't have ENOUGH of it, late of the Johnny Boner House, of the Mitch McConjob Senate; of the doubletalking, doubledealing, backstabbing, lying squishy stand-for-nothing RINOs.

This is what the trumpies all said they were voting AGAINST...and they found the biggest orange marshmallow on the planet to be their standard bearer.

Well, I don't know whether Cruz is toast or not.  He may well be, with his having to fight the Democrats AND the RINOs.  I guess the tools who're told to scream at and mock Cruz, like what we have now.  Because they're sure gonna get more after they throw out the few effective Conservatives in the Congress.

I remember, they were going to defy the GOP, destroy the GOPE etc etc

Now the same people they hated from McConnell to Ryan and McCain have been endorsed by Comrade Orange, and now THE PARTY is the end-all and be-all and we must have unity!

and Trump supporters can't see they have been led by the nose to embrace what they hated most a few months ago? Now these same people who wanted conservatives to win elections are actively leading anti-conservative hate campaigns?

By November they will all be led to voting for Hillary by Trump.
