I think IMHO start reading Gibbons now. Between O, Donald and Hillary, this great country is going to fall for all the exact reasons Rome did. We didn't learn anything from history. We need a man or woman with the values and intelligence of Sen Cruz.

The other day I was half-listening to Beck, who was outlining how similar our situation is to Rome's before it fell.   I could use something really big and deep to get into, bookwise, right now.  I just might take that recommendation.

I'm arguing with a Trump supporter on Facebook.  I guess I'm winning because he pinged like 6 people in the group to the discussion.  Either that or I'm getting booted from the group.  I got booted from George Takei's group the other day.  I can't deal with it when people are wrong on the Internet.

Well seems either I prepared a comment and didn't get to post or the moderator deleted it quickly.

But here's a comment I posted on the adult topic about the convention.

I had some work I had to do with Photos on Photoshop for my church and a cancer fundraiser so wasn't able to follow this thread until after I finished.  I was able to hear most of the speeches either in person or after I recoded them.

I am impressed with the convention, have been impressed with Donald Trump for some time and with how the moderators won't let the disrupters to ruin this thread.

I also intend to run through the alternate thread but don't have positive expectations.  So far I see that crowd as a bunch of whiney cry babies.  I hope this comment doesn't get me chastised as it's not intended for one person but a crowd of people who seem to practice group think.

42 pages of bitching and whining is unbelievable and I imagine this post disappears also.

This 'bitching and whining' thread as you call it is the open thread where people are free to discuss their opinions like adults even if we disagree. We aren't afraid of dissent nor are we 'triggered' and we don't need safe spaces. The other thread is the think happy thoughts only thread that I bet you meant to post this comment on.... Oops.
