As expected, failure to gush over Melania proves jealousy.  Predictable.

Okay, I admit it!  I'm dying for my own fat, flabby, turkey-necked lizard with a lamprey's mouth!  What woman wouldn't be?

Melania was awesome.  Wife thinks she will be off putting to some American women. 


What do you think, is she right?

I just think she outperforms her husband.  But if she was off putting any women lets hope its Hillary Clinton.  When I was listening to her I thought to myself she puts Hillary to shame.  I'm not going to lie.  It was a well thought out speech and she delivered it eloquently.  What can I say?

For the negatives,  I couldn't help thinking that she was wrapping a turd in sweet smelling perfume.

I find the question unanswerable because it is irrelevant.  I don't need to find her physically wonderful.  What are her political view?  What is her character and history?  She is very pretty.  Mostly she is irrelevant because the power i given to the President, not the First Lady.  Except in Trump's case it looks like power will be shared with the whole family.  I have a problem with that.

 If he is elected, she gets s representative position as his wife.  It is important that she be dignified and of good character.  IMO anyway.  To me, no, she doesn't meet the standard.  She may be better than Trump because she is not a self-centered braggart.  But I do think she was basically purchased by Trump, in a certain sense. 

She is very very pretty and that always takes women far.  It may not be fair, but it is the way things work.  She is the least of my worries when it comes to Trump.  I do worry about her safety in that role.  I really do.   For reasons stated above.

Now I'm tired of talking about her.  LOL.  She highlights the profound changes our culture has undergone because no one else seems to care about these things.  Cultists at TOS are wildly excited about have an ex-porn star for First Lady.

She grew up in Communism and was taught hard work by her parents.  I really do believe it was hard for her moving to NY from Milan.  Very well spoken.

Perhaps, but I am uncomfortable with the parade of Trump family members having so much power over a future administration.   Several are not even Republican.  They have not been vetted.  They just come along with the package, I guess.

They will all have government jobs, salaries set by Trump, and paid for by taxpayer money.
Hopefully, Trump will not be president.

I really regret that the Trump censorship Caucus was allowed to form if it drives good people away. That closed thread is WRONG.  And the fact that it was started as "THE Live Thread" is completely dishonest.  That tiny, spiteful minority is threatening to destroy this fine forum.

One of the owners of this forum is the moderator of that thread so it is her thread and she can do what she wants.  Ownership rules just as Jim rules FR.

I am unwilling to say "more."  Maybe not less.  My main issue is that there are millions of pictures of her naked floating around all over the world.  It is not even what she has done.  It is the ongoing indecency of it while she might hold a very important honorary position in our government, meeting and hosting world leaders.   At least Bill didn't do it on film or in pictures.

As for her hard work, was it on her back?  Just saying.  She was a model.  She gets painted up and poses for pictures.  Whatever.   It is not her job to be a government official.  She would only be the First Lady.  Dignity, character...etc...is what matters, as I said before.  Clearly it doesn't hurt that the entire male population finds her hot.  I couldn't care less about that.   Please vote with your brain, not your....

As for growing up under Communism,  I do not find that a plus.

She was fine with the speech but thought Melania would not be relate-able to the average American woman.

I appreciate seeing women who keep themselves in shape and take pride in giving a good appearance.  In my experience, the women who have problems with that are the types who birthed second- and third-wave feminism...in other words, unattractive liberal wallflowers.

When it comes to Melania, I simply don't have much respect for her.  She was willing to sell herself to a gasbag with a fat wallet.  She made her deal, I guess, but I wouldn't be in her place no matter the payout.

She could only succeed in doing that if she could go back in time and remove all the pathetic, offensive and scary things Donald has said during this primary season.  And when I listened to Donald I didn't hear a man who loves his country.  I heard a man who isn't going to love his country until he leads it.  A man that finds strength in tyranny and dictatorship.  Oppression and Communism.  You know what I am talking about?  Praise for Saddam, Kim Jong Un..... and China (Tiananmen Square massacre).  That kind of love we can do without.

I don't care that she is of foreign birth or Trump's third wife. To me she read a speech off a TelePrompter that was written by someone else. I don't feel like I've seen her in any situation where she was just talking like a normal person. She seems very uncomfortable being interviewed. She looks like a deer in the headlights most of the time. It's hard to relate to anyone unless you feel you have a real sense of who they are. 

Laura Bush was soft-spoken and seemed uncomfortable in the limelight when Bush first entered politics. I think Melania and how women relate to her is the least of Trump's problems. I like her the most of the whole family, at least.
